Doesn't matter. At 15% inflation between 2019 and 2022, he didn't really make any money on it, and likely bought another inflated vehicle.

Gotta watch the dealers. I sold my 09 dcsb sport myself. Super clean truck, it went through the frame recall so brand new underneath. Dealer offered 8k. I sold it for 16k! I know they would have detailed the thing and put it on the lot for probably 17 or 18k. They were pretty disappointed when I showed up to pay for my new truck without a trade ;)

SCAM! The dealer look at mileage, probraly BS the value down. You still have to pay off the loan, and what next? Make another loan for another brand new?

You owe 29,500, did the post card say what they would buy it from you for? Fill out the Carvana form to sell to them and see what their offer is. It usually is the top offer and most dealerships won't or can't get there.

Call them and tell the dealership to make an offer on your truck, tell them you are not interested in trading you just want to sell it to them...I bet that offer changes.

FYI $29,500 is the current offer from Carvana on my 2020 TRD OR with 70K on it. Your offer should be more.

Let's see, transaction costs, which include inflation and of course sales tax on that inflated price...

Then if you get a 4th gen you can enjoy the transmission recall. And higher insurance, because that's a bargain these days.

I have a bridge in your back yard I'd like to sell you.

I had my 2017 SR in for service last year, and they really wanted to sell me a new truck while I was waiting. I paid around $22K for it, and they offered me $22K on trade. Out of curiosity, I submitted for a quote on Carvana, and they offered my $28.2K. I figured I'd jump on the offer, because a new '23 was only around $4K more. I found that I couldn't accept their offer because I found that I had an electronic title and needed to have a paper title issued. The offer expired before I got the title, so I just let it go. A week later, they sent me a new offer for $29.4K. I accepted, and they picked it up in a few days with a check in hand. Easiest vehicle transaction ever. I ended up getting a '23 SR5 for $32K, so it was a no-brainer.

Yep. I got similar emails every other week. Pay attention to the email address, they are all from 3rd party, not the actual dealership.

    Ignore and move on.

They call me about once a month offering to by my 2021 despite me telling them to stop.

I tell them that I'll take $75,000 in cash or on approved credit am willing to finance
with 50% down and 25% interest.

Then I toss out a few choice 4-letter-words.
