Interesting I do remember a post way back in they day with Toyota making a couple single cab TrD off-road trucks in first gen styles per special order. I wonder if any second gens exist

I'm not saying they don't exist, but I've never heard of that with 2nd gens. There were a few single cab v6 TRD offroads that were 1st gen.

Generational gap for those that are glued to their phone and have no regard for proper abbreviation. Or as I call them..."The FaceBook Generation"

All I know is my truck was allocated to my dealer as a spruce mica close to what I wanted, and already had a vin number assigned. I sat down and watched them change that truck to a blue metallic truck before it was built and it kept the same vin, plus added the rubber flooring which I wanted. They could have changed other things within the parameters of toyotas build site. That's a custom order to me. You can't put stuff together that Toyota won't let you build on their site though

It's unfortunte that because of this thread some future owner will prolly settle for something close to what they wanted. Instead of seeking out a dealer willing to order exactly what they wanted. For over 30k, you should get exactly what you want.

If in the south you need to go to Tennessee they are not part of the southeast Toyota distribution. Also the truck will likely be much less due to the southeast add on's and upcharges for options.
