Yes, just insert you phone in your rectum and rotate 360 degrees. It will record everything in there and a toyota mechanic should tell you how much better your MT is than a millenial only AT.

Thats the problem. Aggressive is very subjective. I personally think that speeding up to get away from that woman in a minivan talking on the phone and holding her kid would raise your score to 100, but if its just a matter of “speeding” it would certainly look bad.

Back to the whole this is subjective topic, what if old man jenkins is purposely driving slow in the passing lane because he doesnt want to get home to hear his wife getting her ovaries popped by the neighbor so I switch lanes, speed up, pass his MT ass, and get back into the passing lane? Surely that wouldn’t affect my score at all, if anything improve it, but what if thats considered bad driving to whoever designed the scoring system?

That article is worded a little funny, if you look here:
    https://www.toyota.com/connected-services/section/connected-vehicles-year-select
Only certain models have had it since 2017 (2018 model year). Looks like only the 2020 Tacomas have it. That's not to say earlier years don't collect any data, but probably not as extreme.

This might be a silly question.......but with so many manufacturers currently doing this, if someone was worried about the data that their vehicle records/sends, is there not a way/device that can be hooked up to delete it on a regular basis? Or block it from being sent anywhere in the first place?
I would have thought some tech-savvy people would even be able to replace actual bad driving data with some perfect driving endless loop? OVTune or TechStream and tin foil kinda stuff?

This is just the beginning. Cameras at every street corner. Every bank transaction recorded. People putting every picture and life event of every single DAY on instagram, facebook, snapchat, twitter and whatever other social media platform. The point is, unless you take cash, buy food in bulk for 1 year and move up the the middle of no where on some mountain 8000 feet up living out of a hidden bunker, someone somewhere with some form of technology knows what you are doing. Every website you access, ever form of technology is recorded in a database. I am against the tracking of driving data but don't be surprised if by 2030 it's mandatory on all new vehicles and every insurance company uses it as a tool to adjust your discount rate. Basically in today's world you can't even fart without someone knowing lmao

My wife and I were talking with our son yesterday at dinner about life when we were young.

Our conclusion was along the lines that we currently live like kings and queens with all our tech servants doing our bidding.

Then he chanced to raise his eyes toward the ceiling. What was it that was dangling above him, with its point almost touching his head? It was a sharp sword, and it was hung by only a single horsehair. What if the hair should break? There was danger every moment that it would do so.

I got the same score but with much more hard starts/stops.. I believe it is based of other Tacoma drivers in your area... so I am good compared to other Tacoma drivers around here lol

I don't know about the not sharing bit. I was curious as I hadn't setup my app yet so I went through and added my truck. I clearly says they share your info with their partners who may also share it with their insurance partners. I declined that shit :D

My dad's 2016 definitely tracks him with built-in nav even though they do not offer this app with driver score. Any vehicle that has GPS + Cellular = Tracking... do not fool yourself if you do not think it is sending home information.

Wait till you read the fine print about all the information they may access at anytime or download if you decide to ... mention Toyota as fault for any safety issues/TSS issue or bring a suit against Toyota. It was in the manual if I recall right around the section with the TSS information. Your vehicle records a crap ton of info when you are driving and Toyota has made it clear it is their info, not yours.
