Toyota extended warranty plan purchase

I purchased a CPO vehicle in January and it came with the Toyota CPO warranty (limited powertrain 7yr/100k miles + some extra)

Wondering how much better a warranty from Jerry would be? Coverage, etc.

 

Yeah I was offered an extended warranty on my 22 but told the sales guy it will be voided here soon when I start doing my mods so thanks but no thanks, I'll use that money for the mods.

 

I have the same question, I just read thru the platinum warranty and it seems like there’s a lot of ways for them to get out of fixing stuff.

 

Do you know of one for Honda?

 

I used the information on this thread to contact Jerry Johnson and request pricing and information on a 10 year, 100K and 125K warranty for my 2022 Tacoma 4x4 SR5. I sent him an email Friday evening with my truck info, mileage, VIN, etc and he called me less than 24 hour later. Since I knew what I wanted and had provided most of the info he needed, I purchased it over the phone in less than 10 minutes, to include it taking about 2 minutes for the credit card to be processes. I bought the 10 year 125,000 miles Toyota Factory Extra Care platinum Zero Deductible Warranty for $1795. I am in the Southeast Toyota Distributors region, and Jerry confirmed that the warranty will work here. (Note that if you are not in Kansas, you do not pay sales tax. If you use a credit card, there is a 3% credit card fee, but if you use a debit card, there is no fee.)

He was very easy to work with, was straight to the point and very professional. I highly recommend Jerry.

I just checked my receipt. No 3% fee. $1250 for 7yr/125k
Another dealer will come along and undercut them at some point.

 

Does anyone know if Jerry is still a good point of contact to purchase an extended warranty? I have reached out to them but haven’t heard anything back.

I e-mailed Jerry at the end of March
He replied within a day. I would call if it’s been a few days

Just talked to him and he sent me the prices, looks to be the same as others which is great and beats the dealership I’m dealing with.
I put a deposit down on a 23 TRD sport fully loaded and trading in my 2017 sport for 29k with no market adjustment expected delivery is august 3rd.

 

i am trading in my 2016 2WD for a 2023 i ordered. i will get the 8/75. good to here this guy is still out there.

so did you get the official Toyota booklet outlining the extended warranty with your personnel info printed in it. probably dumb question, just want to make sure.

Mid 60s now. Buy quality and skip all extended warranties.
I’ve come out way ahead.
