Toyota Extended Warranty

Bought a 2017 TRD Sport from a Volvo dealership. Has anyone ever tried to get an extended warranty through Toyota when the vehicle was not purchased there?

What kinda money are we talking about?

 

I’ve heard up to $3k to get to 7 years/ 125k miles. When I bought my 2017 in January 2019 from a Toyota dealer they offered it for $2500, but negotiated it down to $650. Remember the Tacoma has a power train warranty after the bumper/bumper expires. So essentially the extended warranty covers the rest of the truck that the power train warranty doesn’t....although I do believe the extended warranty gets you one year and 25k beyond the power train warranty.
