The question is, if Toyota didn't make the Tacoma, what truck would you get?
I never had Toyota period. I always was (and still am) a Nissan fan. Had 2 Hardbodies, a Frontier, 2 300zx,a 350 Z and a Maxima. But when the second generation Tacoma came out, i kinda liked them, more and more each time i saw them. And when time came for me to trade in my old 2001 Frontier, I bolted to the Nissan dealer to get me a shiny new one. I got in a black crew cab Frontier 4x4 with 20 inch rims and all terrains and took it for a test drive. As i pulled out the dealership parking, i drove by the Toyota dealership next door and all the Tacomas in it....half an hour later i was sitting down signing papers on a 4cyl (of all things) 4x4 access cab. If i had to do it again i'd do the exact same thing (but in black).
Is still don't care for Toyota as a brand (i always respected the good product - just never cared for them) but i love Tacoma.
Anybody out there who relates or just hardcore Toyota lovers?

I love my Tacoma. This is my second one. And I also really like the 4Runners. And FJ cruisers. And who doesn't like a Mk 4 Supra? MR2's are nice too.

    I like Toyota!

TOYOTA "TRUCK FAN" yes, I dont really care for any of the cars the make right now. Corolla's and Camry's are very reliable and and well made, but BORING!!! The Tacoma and FJ Cruiser at least have a bit of the old Toyota truck soul. 4Runner is one of last real Suv's out there. I wish Toyota offered a real sports car again, like a revised modern day Supra!

To be honest, I had my heart set on a Chevy Colorado (didn't even plan on test driving a Toyota) until a buddy of mine bought a Tundra, and loved it. I started looking into the Tacoma's, and soon found that there was no competition for mid-sized trucks.

I'm a Toyota Fan!!! My first car was a Camry and lasted me for 15 years before I just donated it...300k + miles. Currently have a 07 Tundra and will be getting a Tacoma 4x4 in the future. My second choice would be a Frontier and the Titan is nice too.

Well I'm a toyota fan in general. If I hadn't gotten my tacoma I would of purchased a 4runner sport.

When it comes time for a new car in a few years I'm probably going to get a suv or a car of some sort. I want something different plus I don't really need a truck anyway.

If I didnt have a Tacoma, it would be an FJ Cruiser as well. Then a 4runner...then maybe a Frontier or Xterra...

My first truck was an 86.5 nissan hardbody 4x4... loved that truck and drove till it wouldn't... literally. But I now have a Tacoma as well as an FJ and after buying my '07 Tacoma I will buy Toyota for life.

Bought my first toyota in 1990.Bone stock. Didn't even come with the day/night flip on the rearview mirror. No radio or right side mirror. 250k miles later I got my new one. That old truck never left me stranded. Sold it last month.Kinda sorry to see it go. I love my new one. Hope it treats me as well as the first.Oh yeah, the first truck only cost $6455 out the door. Times have changed.

Tacoma Fan! However since ive had my tacoma i have gotten more interested in older toyota trucks as well, but i doubt i will ever go back to any other companies. Everyone always told me as a kid dont get foreign cars because the parts are so expensive and what not, but i havent had to fix anything on my truck in ages, and thats daily driving it 70mph with 37s. Try that in a GM lol
