for the 3rd gen with 3.5 LT what is the ideal glass? Looks like 3" will be too short, 6" be too long? Any pics of advanced 4"???

To elaborate on this...it’s good to also think about potential wheels and their offsets. When I went from stock fakelocks on my second gen to some scs wheels, my tires stuck out two inches wider than from the fender. With the stocks I was flush with the fender with a 3.5 kit and 4 inch glass. Just something to keep in mind.

Like coot said, offset and rim width will play a big role as well. I’m doing +3 fenders on a +3.5 kit. My wheels don’t have an aggressive offset, so I’m shooting for just a little poke(which looks the best IMO)

    Rear stuff is happening

Front was a PITA. The bumps were contacting the bypasses, So had to torch the entire bracket off and fab some new ones that hugged the frame tighter

Looks good man, only fear I got is I think tc prefers not to use hydros on the front with their kits but maybe things have changed.

I am considering ditching my stock bumps for some rubber durabumps.

I went with Method MR312 with a 4.75 backspace /0 offset. Not sure how it will look as they are in the parts pile waiting on all the other parts. I myself do like a slight poke as well.

Why is it that TC doesn’t like hydros? I sent them an email awhile regarding this, but never received a reply. Maybe I should call them.

I would just call them but I think they designed it to work with the stock bumps as that way it’s less commitment on the buyer to get bumps as well. They did tell me that you risk deforming the top of the lca with a hydro bump I believe.

It is technically not correct placement of the hydro bump. From what I have heard TC doesn't support it because it puts unnecessary stress on the LCA. Proper placement of the hydro would be to meet the top of the spindle.

Eh most kits bump on the LCA but you get better results on the spindle once you build an engine cage.

Looking to install an aftermarket rear HC bumper with McNeil 3" glass bedsides/fenders. Most fabricators spec the bumper to fit OEM bedsides and therefore needs some modifications to fit the glass bedsides (my research shows most are about 1" too narrow and extend about 1.5" too long into the wheel well). Anybody with experience/suggestions for custom HC bumper options? Thanks.

I had a CBI HC with 3” McNeil bedsides. It was off ~2” on each from being flush. We cut the CBI “wings” off then tubed the side to match the style I wanted and meet flush with the bedsides.
