The big question for me was if with all of the travel in the lt kit if it tucks in the fenders much and if the 4in fenders will hurt that in any way or if im believing in the travel too much and it wont go nearly as far as I think it will.

I run their XLT kit with 6" fenders form Fiberwerx and it tucks nicely. I think you'd be ok with 4" fenders but would have cycle the suspension to really know. Hit up Bobby at Solo. He should be able to answer your question.

Finally got around to getting the McNeil 3" fenders/bedsides installed. Had to wait a couple months to receive 2 new fenders from McNeil after the first batch had been damaged during shipping.

To their credit, they sent 2 new fenders at no cost. (I have a driverside 3" fender and passenger 3" bedside with slight damage if anybody wants it for free)

Installed an At The Helm rear HC bumper which was modified to fit the bedsides. Morgan at ATH custom fab'd the bumper to fit the McNeil bedsides which fit perfect. Highly recommend those guys. Great work, quick fab times and great customer service.

Ready for paint and can't wait to get this done. These fenders have been sitting in my garage since July.

Anybody with suggestions for fender liners. I know of some companies that sell the material but would appreciate any tips, recommendations or experience fabricating custom fender liners since this will be next project in the next couple weeks before I get to go mudding again.

Thanks for the link. I found lots of good info on the forum with multiple options (ABS plastic, aluminum, rubber mat, puck board). All look like they serve the purpose well but wanted to hear any feedback on how those set ups held up after use.

Bought a large sheet of Kydex and going to dive down the rabbit hole of trying to heat mold these fender liners for a better fit (I want the tire to be able to tuck up into the wheel well if needed). I had some success using a heat gun to the OEM fender liners when I trimmed to avoid rubbing. Never used Kydex but it seems like you can remold them multiple times if needed and its very durable. I'll post some pics in a couple weeks if it works out well.

I've made spash guards out of this which have held up very well for five years:

Do you rub at full tuck? I'm expecting to have to trim my +2's to clear

Got the McNeil 3" glass fenders back from paint and installed them. The local auto body shop did a great job matching up the paint. Next project is to install the fender liners and tire carrier on the ATH HC bumper.EMjNkkuMQh6xI5kxRnypnQ.jpg bRW+P%IvQT6nuiBQN4NFcg.jpg

Nice. Almost looks factory (or looks factory without someone knowing there's new panels).

Those that own McNeil fiberglass, curious if your fenders were fitting trouble free or not?

I have many issues with fitting and alignment that I had to take care of and still ongoing battle with it. Moreover they didn't ship front caps and it's been 3+ weeks and nothing but a bad customer service, zero communication back to me and not even trying to resolve problems I have.

I am disappointed with McNeil and would not recommend them honestly from experience I have to anyone.

here are one of many issues

Second question, for 3rd gens, it looks like filler neck can be stretched to fit there, anyone using extended filler tube or came up with something else around?

It's different there now from the 2nd gen fuel tank, I thought that as well with the 4Runner filler neck before, but upon closer look it's a different connector there.

Yeah, I am really disappointed, not many guys with glass here out east of Canada and definitely going to be none in the future. I am planning on getting rid of them already, not even 3 weeks old and I hate them.

Indeed I did, but all I get is the "I am sorry, we will fix it in the future for next customer"

Very disappointed. I usually don't say anything bad about brands, but in this case I'll make sure to spread the word.

Buy some resin and fiberglass cloth for $20 to lengthen the tab. Really not a big deal, and you'll have extra if you ever get any cracks that need repair in the future. I had to do a shit ton of body work and adding fiberglass to get them near perfect and I've seen others do the same.

Edit: After all its a fiberglass mold from someone else's truck what do you expect.

I expect them not to mess up basic things like shown on the picture. There are cracks and dents that I don't complain about because it's expected and already been patched and fixed, not a big deal. Missing mounting points or un-finished work shown in the pictures is not something that a company that specializes on fiberglass supposed to fuck up on.

It’s rare when fiberglass fits fine and or mount points on the glass actually overlap where the bolts should go...mine where a mess and I have different front/rear fiberglass
They’re never perfect molds; took me a day just to fit it as best as possible
