Please take lots of pics of whatever you end up with... I think the fenders will blend in nicely to a campershell and wont look weird, they kind of narrow out uptowards the flat tops of the bedsides

I will! Once the truck gets built Ill have to di a build page lol. Also, I'll need to cut the lip off the camper shell, and the glass will still poke out since the flat tops that ive seen are easily twice the width of the oem fender tops

Yeah you're right about that actually, the flat top portion is way wider, now I know what you mean about having a piece of custom fiberglass to blend it in, good idea. Running a camper shell would be a game changer for me. I had one on my last truck and they're so damn convenient to sleep in and keep camping and surf gear locked up. I already had some punk kid try to grab one of my boards out of the bed of my truck while I watched him

Agreed, i like being able store shit back there so much now! Hence why Im trying to pull this off hehe. It will provide a little bit more shock protection from thieves as well, and I can store more stuff back there and not have to worry about random people walking by and deciding they want whats in the back

Anyone have glass bedsides with a high clearance rear bumper? I'm interested to see what must be done.

Cut the same as regular bedsides, but your HC bumper needs to be custom and pop out a little more or your glass wont sit on it

Thanks. I got these for $200 plus some gas money when I went to pick them up. They were installed on that blue truck in the pics. I'm thinking about working on the mounting areas and adding some more fiberglass since some of the holes don't have material surrounding where the bolt goes through (holes were drilled too close to the edge). Should an Amazon fiberglass fix it kit work alright? I've never laid glass before but I've worked on a lot of stuff like surfboards and metal with epoxy and bondo.

I guess they're the 4 inch bulge then. I'm going to be putting a +2" kit from Baja kits and some bigger tires so they should work I'm thinking. The should be fine for clearance of course, but not too large so it looks like a hack job. I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't my daily driver, but the aesthetics are always kind of important otherwise we'd be driving around in jelly beans and tear drops right? Lol

Do you have pictures of what you're trying to work on? I'm trying to picture it but it's not making much sense to me.

Here are a couple holes that don't have material surrounding them. It was strange that one fender had 3 (and a half) holes drilled in the part that runs along the hood and the other one only has two. I'm not sure if there's only 2 holes / bolts on one side because I haven't looked or if the install job on the last truck was sloppy (leaning towards this judging from the picture of them installed on the truck).
