Does anyone have a link to the procedure steps Toyota send out to all their dealerships re: The Frame Protectant

The coating they used is falling off my Truck in big chunks...My Mech thinks they didn't clean the frame before spraying and the coating is not adhering properly to it...exposing all the surface rust below...

I'm confused ... Are you talking about the original (factory) frame surface treatment or the warranty treatment being offered in relation to the frame rust campaigns?

You have a '98 Taco. The 1995.5 - 2000 frame rust campaign didn't involve a frame treatment. The 2001 - 2004 frame rust campaign, on the other hand, did involve a frame treatment for Tacos in high-salt locations.

... At least that's the way it is in the US version. Is there something different about the campaign(s) in Canada?

Nope...The warranty treatment...One dealership in Alberta, Canada passed the frame inspection...saying there was no excessive rust...The other dealership in BC, Canada...did the warranty treatment (5 hrs) but didn't prep the frame correctly before appling the treatment now its not adhering to the frame properly and coming off in huge patches...

I Faxed/Emailed my letter to Toyota...got a call from the service manager within 30 secs of the letter going through...They want my Taco for 2 days to inspect and redo the frame treatment...Apparently it's a 3 step procedure which involves epoxy in one of the steps...They were very courteous on the phone...I also get a complimentary loaner vehicle...maybe a 2011 Taco Charcoal 6" Lift and 35's :D haha...

Truck went in yesterday morning for a respray...got my taco back this morning...Wow that was fast...the first stuff they applied was a tar like substance that never dried and got over everything...This time the protectant was baked on under a heat lamp...I havent had time to fully inspect the frame yet but so far looks good :D

Man that stuff looks nasty! So that's what Toyota sprays on? I wouldn't want my under carriage sprayed with all that stuff. But then again for conditions where it is appropiate I guess it must be done. I'm glad I live in sunny Socal, well almost, 100 deg weather is starting again. :(

After getting under my truck and doing a careful inspection of the respray...This is what I find  When I left the dealership it was pissing down rain and I didn't have time to inspect the work done...So there's your peak of the rust that was on the frame before...I can tell you the service manager is going to get a very nice good morning phone call tomorrow...

Wow from the looks of those pictures I can't believe that the frame was not in need of replacement, looks god awefull, I e-mailed Toyota regarding corrosion treatment of my frame because we use alot of salt in Nebr ( Omaha) and they assigned a caseworker to my e-mail and I am supose to be hearing from them tomorrow, my frame looks brand spanking new compared to your before treatment, what I am looking at on mine is re sale in years to come, I don't want a parts truck when I decide to get a different vehicle. Toyota got the $$$$ let them do the right thing!

Ya know what on yours I would be under that with an ice pick looking for holes and let them buy it back.
