Part #s for the manifolds I used are:Magnaflow 49341 & 49341. Yes they are pricey but I was attempting to put the best manifolds I could on without messing with headers. I don't know if I made a good choice yet or not, time will tell.

So my truck is actually apart at this point and they ran into an unusual issue. The tech was starting the reassembly process and found that there was an issue with frame. Gas tank would not line up/ bolt up. I have a friend at the dealer who gave me a call. He said this tech is one of two who do all of the frames and tech has done so many so he knew something was up. They have a Toyota corporate tech/engineer coming down now to see what is going on. Has anyone ever heard of this? Part numbers were crossed check to confirm. Just a major fitment issue.

Not anymore but I know I've seen images of the list posted by someone on this site. Probably earlier on in some of the frame swap threads. Try doing a search.

    Headgasket and frame replacement
Got the call yesterday that my frame and parts just came in. She said they have 3 trucks scheduled in front of mine and to bring it in for replacement in a month. Pretty excited! This is way better than the July timeline I got.

Too bad I don’t have enough time to save up for a 2” lift... Might need to find 3rd gen take offs...

Toyota included them in the frame replacement? My 06 is at the dealer (Koons of Westminster in Maryland) getting disassembled now and the techs encountered a rusted (frozen) bolt connecting AC compressor to frame. Want $250 to tap and replace bolt.

I called the Toyota "corporate" number at the bottom of the WEP notice and they said "any repairs needed during frame replacement is customer's responsibility." I countered the bolt will not need to be repaired until the technician drills it out. My AC worked fine before I gave it to the dealer. Toyota said they "understand my frustration".

I just got a call today, my parts are in 4 weeks early so they are going to be putting mine together soon. I was planning on having them replace shocks and tires but the dealer told me they couldn’t replace my tires because “ I have fancy alloy rims”. Ever hear of this? A different dealer 4 years ago put the current tires on these wheels so I don’t know why this one can’t do it.

Also, I’m having them replace my shocks and front struts and they are charging me 250 for assembly of the struts (they are brand new but in pieces). Does this seem high?

they are pulling your leg / don’t want to do the work.

$250 for the springs is high, that’s like 15-30 minutes worth of work.

More than likely they don't want to take on the risk having to replace a rim if they scratched them, and they probably know they don't have the most skilled workers on the tire changers

I don’t know whether to be happy or worried. I was first told it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get the frame and another few days to replace it. Then the dealer calls me today, only about 2 weeks of waiting, and tells me they got the parts and we’re starting the work. They just called me at 8:48 pm ( who even knew the service Dept was open that late) and said it’s done and I can pick it up tomorrow.

I just hope they took their time and did it right but it worries me how fast it seems like they did it.

Anybody else have an experience like this? I was hoping for more of a warning because the rental they gave me came with only 1/4 tank of gas and I just filled it a few days ago. I’m going to ask them if they’ll give me money back for the gas I bought.

mine only took the dealer about a day and a half to do the swap.Check the bed alignment when you pick it up.i would make sure that the wheels aren't over torqued too.

Did you answer the phone or did they leave a message? If they left a message then I would just keep driving the rental finish out the rest of the week.

When mine came back, it came back with all four bolts that connect the lower control arm to the spindle hand tight. Also came back with a caliper that had seized during the long wait, granted that wasn't on them. I ended up putting on all new rotors, pads, calipers, front struts, rear shocks, front wheel bearings, and replacing my busted sway bar end links. Toyota had put new LCAs, brake lines, and fuel lines on with the frame change. 235A7D9D-81B8-4659-A4C8-DCD9B19B303D.jpg4BA49104-509B-4A58-BE08-EEEDD33484A9.jpg9EB7BFE7-7616-4428-8337-01482434B9EE.jpg8BF8029E-7680-4663-97EF-933B62ED90E1.jpg1F98C431-0491-4057-93A0-8F46FFD54D4F.jpg

That's good to know, I thought it would take at least 3 or 4 days to do it so I was surprised when they said it was done. I will definitely check things over, I had a frame replaced on my old 01 and they only hand tightened the exhaust bolts. The entire exhaust nearly fell off on my way home, I thankfully always carry some heavy work gloves and a locking pliers so I was able to fix it parked alongside the highway.
