I am looking at urethane bushings (steering rack, leaf springs, body mounts and sway bar) as long as it's apart and the dealer will substitute my parts for factory replacements. Also I really want to work a way to get the LCE header installed :fingerscrossed:

I was told that if you refuse the CRC treatment (which is certain cold weather states only) you forfeit this warranty.

Also, it's a fucking cop out that separation greater than 10mm does qualify. What the fuck!!

My 2010 was totaled in a rear end crash at a railroad crossing sitting waiting on train. Was stopped as the train passed by, when train passed and began to pull forward gut behind me wasn't paying attending and Bam. frame buckled in the middle of the bed. Had it inspected and passed in May 2018 and they coated it. Thinking of buying a 2006 with 78,000 miles on it. Is it too late to get the inspection and replacement if needed?

Dropped my truck off at the dealer this morning. Got a call back saying it qualifies for the frame replacement. Only thing is they're saying it is unsafe to drive but won't provide a rental vehicle until it is aproved by toyota corporate and that wont be til later this week. They said my options were to drive it until it is approved or leave it there. This is my primary form of transportation, I need something safe to put my kid in. Doesn't this sound like bs since they deemed it as unsafe?

My dealer told me as long as it’s on the list in time and registered to you they will do the job.

Marckal is pretty up to date for what’s going on with the dates and stuff.
So if you own it before then you should qualify.

It is no worse than when you didn’t know it was bad.
My frame failed but No way was I worried about it.
This is your call if you think it’s unsafe rent a car Toyota may comp you for it? I was given the choice at the inspection. I was not willing to leave my truck in the first place. I don’t believe them sitting for months does them any good.
They had my truck 10 days and it was 7 too many. I would go start and move it around. They finished it on a Thursday I could see it was back at the dealers main site. I have a iPhone in it I can track.
Had to wait till Monday to get it. They pinned it in with other vehicles so I couldn’t leave the dealership.

Yeah I'm looking at it that way. I mean hell, just last week I was towing a 12 foot trailer full of trees I cut down with it. Just seems backwards for them to say that yet let me drive it off the lot. I'm just happy it's being replaced and a big thanks to them for standing behind their product on a 13 year old truck. Really it shouldn't be an issue in the first place and they know it's their bad and making it right.

If you have the option at all try whatever you can to get your truck back while waiting on the frame.
If it just sits out in the dealer lot for months you're gonna inherit a myriad of extra issues Toyota won't pay for.
I'm talking about flat spots on tires, seized brakes, flat battery, bad gas, etc.

I took my truck in for its 100k service, three weeks later i got a call saying my new frame was in. At first i thought they had the wrong number because i wasn't told i needed a new frame, but they explained the recall and how everything was covered by toyota. I dropped my truck off on a Monday morning, they gave me a rental car and and three days later she was all ready to pick up. The bill came out to almost 11k of witch i only paid $120 because i had them put in a new battery. All in all i was only without my truck half a week.

Should be interesting. My first date of service was Sept or Oct 09..I bought it used in Oct 12. Seeing as I'm in MA, I'm going to take my sweet time getting it inspected and get the best shot at a re-frame or maybe a buyback even.

Hello, I have read through most of this forum. I am new to tacoma word. I have a 2011 DCSB sport with 140k that I bought out of NH 3 years ago. I am wondering if my 2011 is covered under this lawsuit? I have briefly looked into the rust on the frame but now after reading this forum know where i need to look a little harder. Also, I have singed up on the Toyota website and verified that I don't have any any recalls but my leaf springs look like they are almost no longer curved but flat and bending up near the axle. does anyone else have this problem or are they just shot and need to be changed? Any help is greatly appreciated!IMG_0532.jpg

I am nearly positive those leaf springs are supposed to arch the other way!

Just got the word Toyota approved my frame. I only bought the old beast 3 years ago. Glad to know I won’t be worrying so much going forward. Here’s the damage and a pic of all the fresh steel at my local service center.
