I dropped off my truck for inspection on 05/11/15 when my frame should have failed, they undercoated it with CRC without cleaning the frame or removing any scale (invoice clearly says No Rust Found!!!). crc was flaking off in big chunks with my fingernails while it was on the hoist in the shop. as well they did not repair my broken in half leaf springs. about 2 weeks later on 05/29/15 I took it to a different dealer, They confirmed that the other dealership did not do it correctly, claimed they scraped it all off and re did it. They just piled on more CRC. They also gave me a rental and claimed my truck was unsafe to drive because of the broken leaf springs. why didn't the last dealership say that and give me a rental??? over the course of the next year lots of the undercoating had flaked off, frame swelled allot, rust stains seeped through the CRC coating, took a bunch of photos!!! on 11/04/16 yet another dealership confirmed my truck qualified for the frame replacement. they told me parts would be about 6 months and said my truck would be safe to drive in the meantime. sent me home in it without a rental. made the you tube video that night of me chipping away with my hammer under my truck and I exposed that massive hole in the chassis mount. called Toyota corporate, told them about the you tube video and that I would be suing them and they should buy the truck back to avoid me suing them. I was in a rental the next day, frame replacement was completed by 01/04/17. lots of loose bolts, electrical gremlins, exhaust leak...
my court date is in November 27-17

I didn't read the whole thread but the recall has been extended. I took my truck in the other day to get inspected and am waiting to hear back now.

both, as far as I am concerned. all the dealerships that are involved are listed in my court case. sue em all let the judge sort them out!!! they are all involved to some extent, some more than others but they all played a roll in a potentially dangerous cover up. each dealership should be looking out for their own best interests not Toyota Corp if they are going to be doing the contracted work.

For example. if you say a frame is safe. put it in writing. if you don't want to put it in writing that tells me there is no confidence in your statement.

Took 2006 with 78,000 miles on it in Monday--frame failed--yeah for me. Aksed about a tranny fluid change and filter replacement. Was told all they do is drain and refill. Well, as mentioned previously--this is more than a frame issue. Over 1/2 the pan bolts are seized into the tranny so they would snap off if you try to remove the pan. Again--poor steel in the bolts. I think Toyota should be buying these back at 150% their retail value--not KBB.

I saw this under my service records on the Toyotas owners site, it has the code ZH6404 which is qualifying perforation found/awaiting frame replacement.

Just thought I'd share a pic of the Loaner at work for y'all.
I miss my truck. It pulled so much better than this thing.

Was this put on after the dealer failed it or after Toyota Corporation approved the frame replacement?

I'm curious too. Mine failed last Friday but it's not on the records per my Toyota Owners account.

This was put on after I was told that I was approved for the frame replacement.

How long did it take from when the dealership failed your truck for Toyota to approve the replacement?
