I usually keep my Trucks for about 8 years, traded my 2000 in on the 08, and the 08 for the 15 which I planned on keeping for the same period of time. That being said, I have a 17 on order cause the Dealer Tech did some damage to my 15 and instead of fixing they offered to order me a new 17 for invoice.

Ya that would be nice, but I highly doubt it. It looked like the only way is if improve I spent money on frame work or protection I think.

You should be able to get under invoice. I am curious about the deal. What they giving you for the 15?

Something to keep my finger on the pulse of how it shakes out to be sure. Not saying I'll be waiting outside that first day for an inspection either..truck has 68K and I'd like to keep it to 200K

I used to (25+ years ago) deal (a lot) with Bettencourt's Honda in West Bridgewater--they still in business?

Plastic dip badges. Upgraded head unit, husky floor liners, BFG ko2 tires.
Got mine in the mail as well. I got a 2009 think I'll keep an eye on settlement then see if I can get frame inspected. I got a good amount of surface rust and all. The welds look like crap.

    Same as everybody else...
I just got my postcard, the previous owner lived in Virginia near Richmond. I live in Maryland and have owned the truck since 2015. My frame looks good to my untrained eye but I'm gonna keep my eye on the website.

They sent me one but I own a 2012.. I assume it has to do with the fact I use to have a 2008 I'm probably in there records.. also my buddy's 2011 has a lot of rust too bad he didn't make the cut either... we tried putting on my old running boards on his truck, pulled the plugs out and it's so rusted we might have to retap the holes if we can...

I have a 2006 that had the frame coated and all it did was hide the rust but it is peeling off revealing lots of rust

IMHO Wait as long as you can on this before you have Toyota inspect the frame. If Toyota determines that coating is sufficient, with out removing existing rust all it does is hide the problem.

A mechanic that recently gave me advice on buying a used Tacoma indicated that one should avoid cars coming from "flood states" and "salt states". Salt states are defined by him as states/regions where they use salt on the roads during winter but also referred to coastal areas as well.

Maybe Toyota is targeting these regions based on this logic?
