That's the one I used with good results.

    First, it's not a Recall.

I am very confused and intrigued at the same time. As the Settlement Terms state, it goes by year and ANY 'Subject Vehicles' sold in the US and US territories.
    What's the deal?
Am I interpreting the text wrong in the Long Form? I don't recall seeing a section stating anything about Vin's.

It helps having a dealer in a northern climate. My dealer knew what the process was when mine got done. They should I guess after 44 frame replacements at that time last fall

Keep calling until you get in for at least a frame inspection.

That is because there is no "recall" regarding frame rust for 2005 through 2010 Tacomas..

It is a Warranty Enhancement Program initiated by Toyota in response to their out-of-court settlement agreement (i.e. they knew they were going to lose so they gave in) in the matter of the Brian Warner, et al v. Toyota USA class action suit.

Tell the dealer to get a copy of Toyota document POL 17-09, a Warranty Policy Bulletin describing Warranty Enhancement Program ZH6. The policy applies to all 2005 through 2010 Tacomas originally "...distributed for sale or lease in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and all other United States territories and/or possessions."

    It is not VIN specific...

Here is a copy of the notice sent to some dealers, seemingly mostly in the rust belt states, our local dealer claims they have never seen it...

Yes and I think many calling it that when speaking to their dealers is just confusing the poor dears (bless their little dealership hearts)...

Thank you for that. So it is my understanding that if you have no perforation, you still qualify for the corrosion resistant compound application, is my interpretation correct?

IF you live (or more correctly IF the truck is currently registered) in one of the "CRC states"...

Has anybody actually had a new frame ordered? My truck has been at a dealership for a month and they say they cant order parts till toyota gives the go ahead . They say my truck is approved but they cant a new frame yet. The upper control arm rotted off the frame so its unsafe to drive and that happened back in May 2017

    Welcome to Tacoma World! :hattip:
My truck Failed on 8-4-17 and when I picked up my loaner on 8-5-17 the GM told me Toyota had already approved my case and the frame was on order. He stated it would probably take a few weeks to arrive.
I am the only one in my area requiring a frame so that may be the reason they were able to jump on it so fast.
I foresee it taking longer depending on the amount of vehicles being brought in...

To my best understanding, the Dealer submits the 'Quote' and Toyota replys with a Yay or Nay. As long as the Dealer has fulfilled their end, all you can do is be patient. I bout went nuts trying to push the system then took a deep breath, and appreciated the fact that they were willing to fix it for me, for free.
No out of pocket costs and I get to Demo a 2017 Taco with 4500 miles for an extended period of time.
I STILL MISS MY TRUCK THOUGH...:annoyed:
