I’ve had good luck with Turnersville, NJ Toyota, especially their parts counter.

    Very nice.

My 2005 had the frame inspected...doubt they did any of this as it only goes back to 2011....and I have just been coating it annually with fluid film via undercoating gun and my air compressor.

    Hopefully it holds up!

    @fourfourone

I'm getting the inspection on 2-05-21

I purchase my truck in 6-13 at Middletown Toyota, in my case i have had a great experience there and I can only speak for myself.

As i indicated in earlier posts the Service Manager was impressed with how the condition was using Fluids Film that he called the Mechanics over to show it off.

No issues were found so i expect there wont be any this time 15 months later and Fluid Film has been applied 2x yearly since the first inspection , last application 10-2020

Let me know how your experience goes.

I had mine inspected in October and it's going in for the treatment this next Monday. I've always taken good care of mine so my frame doesn't really have any rust on it.
I also don't have any scratches or door dings on my truck so I'm going to wash it this weekend and inspect it well when I go to pick it up.

It passed no problem. I got an appointment for the 22nd of March. They said they were very busy with these. Hopefully they will be Pros at it by the time my appointment comes.

Back in the old days corrosion control especially in the snow belt and salt water environments was handled by a company called Ziebart. They had mixed results because it all hinges on the people doing the application process.https://www.ziebart.com/auto-care-services/undercoating/undercoating-services

looking at their webpage looks like they are still using that stuff

going in a different direction you can read about this. These products are used in the oil industry primarily on oil rigs in harsh environments such as the North Sea. Corban and Dinatrol are also used in aviation industries to prevent corrosion in wheel wells and bilge areas beneath cargo compartments. The products are not marketed to consumers and are not widely known but they are not restricted either. You can buy them, I became acquainted with these in aircraft manufacturing as they are used by Boeing and Airbus

    https://zipchem.com/Pages/optional-backgrounds/corban.htm

    https://www.skygeek.com/zip-chem-cor-ban-35-corrosion-inhibitor.html

    https://shop.boeing.com/aviation-supply/p/010097=C0

    https://www.skygeek.com/ardrox-av-8-corrosion-inhibiting-compound.html

the nice thing about these products is they are only a couple of mils thick and when dry you can see through them. You’ll be able to monitor and look for signs of corrosion. They also can be removed with a solvent and reapplied to do spot repairs like welding. For getting into the frame you use a flexible perforated wand that has holes in all directions. Insert and squeeze and pull out, done

While these products cost more than the consumer level stuff you are used to seeing guess what they work better too. You won’t be reapplying every year. One application can last years. Make a bulk purchase with your buddies and do several trucks. In closing look again at what Toyota is using, it looks like white shit oozing out everywhere. The aircraft products go on clean and dry semi clear and you can do the outer frame as well, hell you can do everything under the truck except sensors and exhaust systems.
