Got mine back today, so happy, 3 months without the truck. Seems to idle a little rough, hoping it's just because it was sitting so long. Need to take it on a long drive...

I hope the dealer doesnt give me shit about my aftermarket fuel tank skid plate. I had my oil changed from them when I had the aftermarket skid plate on and they didnt say anything.

Dealer says they’ve ordered my parts, and will let me know when they come in. Hopefully there won’t be any back orders. Going on a little over 2 months now.

I specifically stated I was in no hurry if there was going to be a run on parts.
Guy that handles setting up recall appointments said "if the fix is available the parts are available," LOL We'll see, he scheduled me for this coming Thursday.

I'm not in your boat, so I'm actually considering kicking my repair down the road a ways, as I'd rather not be the first, second, or even third in line..

I’m not sure if I’m lucky, or if being a pest made them get it done quickly, but I just got a call saying my truck was ready. Unable to pick up this weekend as I’m out of town, but what a relief. I’ll report back if I have any issues. Best of luck to everyone.

So I bought a 2019 Tacoma earlier today, after I paid I was given a loaner and was told that their was an open recall that would need to be fixed. It looks like there are months long lead times. What should I expect?

What kind of loaner did you buy?

Maybe you could keep the 2017 and renegotiate the price you paid for the 2019.

honestly the dealer was shady from the start. I may just walk away if I don't get my truck back on Monday. They added 3500 from the posted price for dealer add ons that were added on top of the truck price because every dealer does it. got 2500 knocked off of that but still feel a bit scammed

I think they may be fishing for more services to provide with the mileage info.

And I had over 3/4 of fuel when my truck broke down.... they did the recall ok.

Extra benefit... they did the radar sensor recall even though I have the pro grille on the off road edition. Did they remedy that issue? I know they had people sign waivers when that recall was just started.

Damn, I need to call my service advisor to schedule mine... driving around w/ the little intermittent chirping sound feels like a ticking time bomb waiting to blow smh

I'd guess in part at least your ECM is re-learning, I'm sure they disconnected the battery to do the repair.

But I like your idea anyway, reuniting :)
