I thought only the orange taco had orange accents? Which would mean with the mgm color you will not get the orange accents?

My black off-road had orange stitching and the orange bezel. I put leather on the seats but the bezel is still there.

Sounds like to be they never intended to place a new order to Toyota for your vehicle I think they just searched other dealers inventory for a truck that closely matched what you wanted. I just find it hard to believe that a dealer placed a order to Toyota with all of your requested options and the truck shows up with the incorrect options. This dealership sucks. I have so far visited 8 dealerships and I have not been impressed with anyone of them Good luck

Yes stick around and tell us about your F150. I'm interested because when I need a bigger truck for towing I will look at Ford.

The stitching color and dash matches the MGM better in my opinion, but it wasn't my truck. The side steps were a nit. I am sure if it was me, I woulsd simply negotiate an additional discount and take delivery.

I would never buy a full size V6.

Can't say anything bad about a Ford because I never owned one!
But I would have walked out of that Toyota dealership too.

When you buy something other than Toyota, you get more than 2k off sticker. Good job sticking to your guns OP. Enjoy your new truck

I really like the look of the orange stitching but the bezel looks cheap to me in Orange. I originally was going to order it until I saw it in person. As far as this post I'm on board with everyone else. I don't see how you can compare a mid size to a full size and a $14000 difference. Try comparing a Tacoma sr 4 cylinder to a fully loaded TRD. You get what you pay for but maybe not in this case as I've never had the reliability in an American car as my Tacomas.

The big price difference was because its Ford truck month, I got the truck for a little over $36k so almost 11k off, then they gave me $7250 for trade. So more than a thousand from toyota, plus its 2.9 apr over 72 months instead of 3.9 with toyota. Ill have the truck Tuesday, they need to get it from another dealership. Ill post pics in this thread.

As for my profile picture. I wanted the truck they had on the lot from the Pittsburgh Auto show, it was the quicksand, hence I ordered that first. After thinking about it I changed it to MGM. Rohrich toyota in Pittsburgh off of 19.

Insurance is a little more than the Taco. $350 more a year. through Progressive.

I couldnt really find any problems with the 2.7. some say its under powered for towing. I dont have anything to tow anymore, so its irrelevant to me.

It may be minor things to some people, yes you can add predator steps later and sell the floor mats, its not the point. It was the way I was treated and they gave me the wrong truck, period. Then to say they can just sell it so take it or leave it? No thank you!

Thats exactly why they screwed you over. They knew they could sell it. Toyota's ordering process SUCKS.

I'm sure when you changed the order, someone screwed up. More than likely the salesman or the sales manager. You can't blame Toyota for that. They get the build sheet and build what's on the sheet.

I think they did you a favor with the interior. I have seen a MGM with the orange bezel and stitching, not too good. They could have taken preadator steps off another truck and put on yours, or you could have gone aftermarket. Either way, its your choice, enjoy the Ford.

Going Ford tomorrow to make deal, the money they are knocking off for truck month is awsome. They have located just what I want at another one of their dealerships. I am looking at same as you, 302A FX4 but going with the 3.5 due to towing needs. Also has Max Tow with the 3:55 gears. Thiz ins't replacing my Tacoma just need something bigger to tow with. Only thing extra this has I didn't want is twin panel moonroof. Good luck and let us know how you like it. A friend got his in Jan and loves it so far and has had no issues with it at all.

I know, people are asking why compare the two trucks, well because they are around the same price and same MPG. If you can drive a tacoma, you will have no problem with a full size. I also believe lariats are going for 12-14k under MSRP right now. I truly wanted to try the Tcoma, but all the negative reviews and the way I was treated sealed the deal to go with Ford.

Performance Toyota north of Cincinnati, Ohio is a great dealership. I live in Florence, KY about a mile from a different dealer. I still choose to drive 30-40 minutes to Performance because of their knowledge and professionalism.

When I bought my first Tacoma last year, I didn't know too much about them. I asked the salesman in Florence what the difference in the models/packages were and all he did was point to the pricing sheets on the windows.

So I went to Performance Toyota in Ohio and the salesman (Jeff) explained to me everything I could ever want to know about Prerunner, TRD, Sport vs. Off-Road, SR5 etc. I test drove a black TRD Sport DCSB with upgraded TRD exhaust and an upgraded JBL audio system, and took the truck home the next day!

Yeah that was definitely the dealers fault. But they knew they would be able to sell it quick. Come back in a few months and tell us how you like your Ford! I was deciding between the two and by the time I got the packages I wanted in the ford, it was 15k more than my Tacoma. Also, I had heard about servicing the ecoboost and decided it wasn't for me. F-150 is still one great truck!
