The weird thing about Thailand is that all of the vehicles are about the same size as they are in the US because of global economies of scale, it’s just that the size distribution of vehicles is different and skewed with more smaller vehicles than here, think Toyota Corolla and international model Honda Accords.

There are lots of scooters, and tuk tuks, but those are typically for street-level traffic only.

There are no full-size pickups, because people there actually do work and drive forward control trucks. But the four-door Dad midsize truck is pretty much the same the vehicle it is here, competing with body on frame and crossover SUVs.

The highways are a lot more scary because you have people either driving 100 miles an hour in the right lane or 40 miles an hour in the left lane with nothing in between.

fun fact, the 3.5l 278hp v6 is the highest horsepower motor in any vehicle i've ever owned. 2nd only to the 4.0 liter 205hp v6 in my previous ford ranger...

i'm actually watching the kei truck market right now. the stuff with the georgia state registration lawsuit is going to set the stage to either open up kei car registration, or will shut down the jdm market within the us entirely.

    Right!?

That with a canopy/camper with side doors would be just about perfect for my needs. Toyota USA seems like they could care less about useful utility models, and focus mainly on the chest thumping BroLander market.
