While I think that the Cummins engine is a fantastic drivetrain, you couldn't give me a new Dodge. Why a current Dodge owner can watch his $40,000+ truck rot away in his driveway and then replace it with another one that will do the same is beyond me. Here in PA all I see is Dodge trucks just a few years old that look like Swiss cheese. Rockers and quarter panels just rot right off in no time. If you're real quiet, I think you can hear a Dodge rusting in your driveway at night!

Next is a Ford, you can keep that aluminum bed. There will be a lot of people shocked at what it costs to fix it, and you know something will happen to it eventually.

Chevys, I've owned many and my dad is retired GM. Great looking trucks, but past history doesn't convince me that it will last like a Tacoma.

I've owned 3 Tacomas, currently a '14 and I have two Camry XLEs, a V6 and an I4. My '13 Tacoma was bought back by Toyota for an engine noise. I was given the next year newer and never looked back.

Yeah unless you are one of the people added to the list of injured or dead as a result of them going off.
If I had one of these models, I'd be worried.

It was a joke. My fiancee has the infamous airbag recall on her car that we're getting taken care of. The airbag is an easy (although inconvenient) fix for most cars.

Thanks, i cant wait for the new truck, unfortuantly i have to wait 3 weeks for the check, but i decided to stick with toyota, becuase we had now 11 toyotas in the family with this new 4runner included, and all but one were good, so i figured i give them a second chance, beside the 3 past 4runners we had all lasted over 300,000 miles.

Well if he goes with a new ford he cold drop the corner of a toolbox in the bed and crack the bed. Maybe Ford would buy it back also???

Yea sure, i will blur most of it. It may take 3 weeks becuase the check comes from toyota in Cali, and not South East toyota. Also they have a third party company handle the check, so it has many approval process to go through before it is in my hands. I will keep you updated through the processes.
