So do the 2016s have different wiring harnesses than the '17s and '18s? The website indicates all 2012-2016 Toyotas.

If you look at the second link I posted, it excludes the 2016 Tacoma. Rats may still chew your wiring, but not because it is soy.

I heard that they will be changing from Soy based to "Gluten-Free, Vegan Friendly, Non-Dairy" insulation by 2020.

It’s actually great in vehicles that actually make power lol. Put it in any boosted vehicle and tune for it and boom...substantial hp for cheap

Only because it's more resilient to pre detonation so you can advance your timings significantly.

Scientifically there is less energy in ethanol than there is is pure gasoline.

I run ethanol free in my 2010 and get 2-3 more mpg, I can feel the torque difference too.

Trying to understand why they would use soy to begin with. Does it make the truck lighter on the digestive system? I paid a bunch for mine in 2013. I guess when they have to recycle the truck they just eat all the wires like noodles......burn the tires, melt down the metal and create a new generation of dietary vehicles.

I never thought the shielding of the wire was the most expensive part, always thought the copper was. silly me....

Most likely used soy for its biodegradability, makes a nice tax write off being a big green company. Not such a good idea to make something biodegradable when it's going to be exposed to the elements that allow it to degrade though.

Yes indeed. I've already had twice damage the first time was my air intake which I did a posting on how to correct it and the second time was when I lost fourth and fifth and 6 gear and could not go any faster then 35 miles per hours and my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree.

While people are staving... oh and lets use "special" fertilizer & pesticides made with fuel to grow corn for fuel... Great idea. Wonder how much fuel we actually make vs what we use to make it?

Let build a pipeline for tar sand oil... there's another good idea!

Corporate Amerika... where all great ideas are "soy based".
