    See you out there!

I'll only be bringing the '84 though. Since I now have the Tundra for a tow rig, the Taco won't be making the trip.

Bronco Buster :), I went from park road 2 until the escape route where you have the level 6 Mud... I was like OH HELL NO, and turned off.

A group of purpose built rigs came up behind me and were like... what the Eff, how is that here? I pointed at the Helicopter overhead :)

It was a terrible Idea to try that trail... so we went really really slow. I had a nice 3rd gen 4runner with bumpers, lockers and lift with me, he struggled a little less.

Main thing is to remember to bring your drink of choice, food, and a sleeping bag. The rest will work itself out. Also the nearest parts store is 20 mins away I think.

Could the seasoned vets start a check list perhaps for all us noobies headed out this year? Must haves, things not to bring, etc.....?

    Congrats on your 100th.

    As for what to bring:

Camping - tent, bag, folding chair, fake snake, food/plates, toilet paper (never know if it will be there), flashlight, drinks of choice for day and night.

Off reading - recovery strap, spare tire, basic hand tools (to your comfort level working on your rig), ice chest, CB radio if you have one, camera, hat/glasses, sun screen.

It is "pretty simple" in that it is just camping where we wheel at. Jambo provides dinner two nights but I always seemed a little hungry afterwards so snacks at camp are a good thing. Some people have camp fires so bring some wood if you want to donate to a fire. Other than that you can either go wheel each day or watch some of the demonstrations/classes. I will probably do a little of both this year depending on the classes.

Just a real simple poker run (Harley guys know how it works) for stock type rigs on some 1 and 2 diamond trails, probably that Friday about 1PM. If you have a stock bumper this might be a good way to win one of our winch bumpers! I even ordered up some USOR playing cards for the event.

    usor_playingcards_629300cb7e2c3f789c5c2ea06a4b56573508f666.jpg

shooter gave a pretty good list. I might add to bring your pain killer of choice. ;)

CB, nothing fancy, but shooter is right, it's a must for the trails. They have a large air up/down station and there is almost always someone around with a trail compressor if needed. If you have a winch make sure it's in good working order. If you haven't been offroad before it's a good idea to find a patch of dirt somewhere and get familiar with your transfer case, locker and ATRAC if equipped, the owner's manual is good for this.

Make sure your spare is good and hold air. Don't worry about things though as there will be a ton of tools and talent there if something goes wrong, which rarely happens except on the highly modified guys who are hitting the insane trails, that's where the carnage usually happens.

If you bring a better half who has never been offroad before it might be a good idea to bring a change of drawers and/or a towel....and alcohol. :)
