Been looking at the 2024 Tacos and suspect that Toyota will be providing dealer incentives to move inventories. June 24-23 sales off by 30% and YTD 24-23 sales 40%!

Wow - that's quite a hit. I suspect all new-car-sales are down across the board.
People just aren't in a position to buy a new car especially at these prices.

I keep house ( retired ) and the wife still works. I've been doing daily grocery shopping since the pandemic started,
I think she was hoping for the best LOL but anyway, during the pandemic the shelves were empty, couldn't find items,
toilet paper was like gold, and prices jumped a bit. I still find myself going to different stores to find 'things' that used
to be readily available. This world-wide-supply-chain-thing has been busted up pretty good and I suspect it will be another
year or 2 or 3 before it is fully back to where it was pre-pandemic.

Prices continued to rise the last 2 years even as the shelves began to refill and kept going up, up, up ( for no reason mind you ).

Lately I've noticed prices going down, down, down on every day items. Some are still stupid high but I believe consumers
are value shopping and these retailers are noticing and dropping prices. Those who continue to try to milk the consumer will
    eventually lose out.

I suspect deep discounts on the 2024 Tacoma will be in order. People are wary of the new engine to begin with and some
need therapy after being exposed to sticker-shock.... I believe the big-3 and Toyota will eventually come to their senses
and drop prices to something reasonable, or at least not increase them.

This throw-away-society is becoming ( rightfully so ) a lets-keep-it-another-year-or-two society. Except for the ultra-rich,
the rest of us have to make do with what we got and make it last longer.

I'm old enough to have lived through real recessions, and at the end of the day these harder-times don't come close to what
happened in the mid-to-late 70's and into the early 80's. Things got better then. They will get better this go-round too.

I am almost certain that Tacoma prices will drop and soon. Toyota will likely lose their number 1 truck sales accolade.

Good news for those who really want to get into a gen 4.
