Tax the shit on imports on tacos from outside.
Retrofit the plant to Toyota Tequila.

 

Don't worry, its just matter of time until the bottom drops out of all the subprime auto loans that have been issued.

 

No way. Are we going to see every other taco with a sign "for rent" or "for sale" like in the housing sub prime crash?

 

If only Toyota would make Hilux rather than a Tacoma in San Antonio and Mexico they could use the IMV plants in places like South Africa, Argentina, Thailand and Malaysia to back fill. It could be a flexible 7+ plant strategy!

I had a Hilux 4x4 diesel while living in Australia a couple of years ago and I would love to have one here in the US. Lots of grunt, a steel bed and OEM LED headlights!

 

That could happen at the Mexico plants given their open trade policy leaving the US behind.
