Toyota midsize load capacity Amazing !!

This is Thailand version of Tacoma. There is no question what a diesel can haul with a few additional leafs. Stopping is another story for sure. These midsize trucks are such a common sight up in the mountain regions. Roads are too narrow to maneuver trailers around. Always amazing to me and wanted to share.

I have seen quite a few creative uses of vehicles in countries that do not have as many safety regulatory agencies as we do. Coincidentally, I have also seen a lot of upside down, abandoned, charred, and/or flattened remains of vehicles lining the roads of those same countries.

It’s almost a daily sighting here to see one on its side in the mountains where we stay.

That’s crazy illegal, even there, but the police typically don’t do anything about it until there’s an accident.

 

He drove it from TJ all the way to San Felipe and back.
Did some canyon carving too.
I followed him the whole way with just one ATV in my bed.

Cops said nothing, Federales just waived at us, one of Mexican Marines said they we were saving up their pesos to hopefully buy a nice used Tacoma.
