So I'm interested in buying a set of the OEM Weather Tech type mats for my 17 DC. Guy wants 60 bucks shipped.

First off: Has anyone owned or used them? Are they half way decent and a good upgrade from the carpet mats for that price?

Secondly, what do you think about the price?

    Thanks in advance!

I love mine honestly. They do the job just fine. I do recommend installing some anchors like the drivers side ones or else the passenger mat will slide around.

I had purchased a set of the nice husky's and then when I went to pick up my truck they were including the OEM's so I tried them for a week to see what I'd think and ended up liking them just fine and returned the huskys.

    edit,

try to get them cheaper than 60. 40-50 seems fine.

I paid 70 for my Huskies from Auto Everything. Very good quality. Much better than stock.

Front only. Rear works fine from factory.

What type of anchors did you use, and where could I find them?

I wanted carpet mats, but the truck came with the rubber ones. I was worried because I drive barefoot a lot (better than leaving the flip-flops on). I thought that I would hate them, but they are actually just fine. Both with and without shoes.

I have no thoughts of changing them out.

I was in some light mud this weekend and they grabbed it all with no problem. The Toyota list price is stupid expensive. If you can get a set for $60, jump on it.

    Have a good one.

See when I laid out the huskys with the OEMs I thought they were very comparable. I also didn't like seeing husky name and logo all over.

Basically the huskys are a pinch nicer I guess but I wouldn't pay 170 for a set like I did when I had the OEM's for free.

as far as anchors, just search volkswagon floor mat anchors and use those or the various others that exist.

I stitched them to the mats. Only way they will stick. Works like a charm. Use black thread and you wont even see the stitching

I have the carpet mats, but also the OEM Weather Techs. Very satisfied with them. I wouldn't dare drive my truck w/o rubber floor mats. I have both front and rear, but the dealer threw them in free to "sweeten the deal" so idk what they cost. All I can tell you is that they are well worth the expense, especially if you have dirty/muddy shoes often. The mats are good quality, obviously a perfect fit being OEM, and have a nice lip that prevents junk from spilling over onto the carpet. I've had drinks spilled on these from passengers, and they didn't overflow due to that lip.

If that price is cheaper than buying them new, then go for it. You'll be happy you did when you save your interior.

That's pretty much where I'm at with it. A lot cheaper than new, and a lot cheaper than the WT/Husky option so they'll probably be just right. Have just over 1K miles on it and want to keep the interior in as good a condition as I can.

definitely think you're underestimating them. You'll love em especially when they're cheap.

I didn't want them on my 2017 TRD OR I bought in July of this year,, but they were on it. I was going to go after market, but I really like them and will use them until they wear out. At $60, it's a good value for you...particularly if that is front and back.

Yeah, I'm paying $60 for both and then a little for shipping, so it's still cheaper than new or other brands. Figured it'd be hard to find them much cheaper.

The only real downside is the passenger side mat slides around alot, and gets bent out of shape as a result. I plan to do the DIY anchors mentioned elsewhere in the 3rd Gen forums. I too received front/rear mats and the bed rail anchors with my unoptioned OR.

One of the guys above mentioned a couple solutions I'll definitely look into. I would prefer they don't bend out.

Velcro ftw. No need for anchors.
