No, didn't want him to hold my hand. I never even gave that impression or said I wanted it in my post.

I posted my buying experience. That is all. The wierd part is how they assumed I was going to buy after I told them that I came in there to get info on their call.

When I didn't buy, the expresssions of unhappyness and just leaving without saying anything was the part that I think was unsual.

That is all. If you go in to get info and get it. They should't be rude that you aren't buying. Just a thanks for your interest is common courtesy. That is all I expected.

Nothing more. But just walking away by the finance guy, and the clear, almost eyes rolling and audible sigh when I said I was there to get info and not to buy was the part that is not so cool, especially when I intend to come back.

I didn't have a chip on my shoulder. Soundslike someone stuck a nerve with you and you're displacing it on me. ha ha. Excuse me, I don't know you and you're saying this about me?!

I come in even and actually with a flat affect. That's how I work business. Few emotions, just facts. I did my shopping and left. I went back prompted by a call. The sales guy is the guy person who went in with assupmtions that I was buying when my whole purpose that day was to come in because he called about a 6 month deferred program.

I'm there to get info. No chips on any shoulder. Not even as I write this to you. I'm just factual and bland when I deal with purchasing.

Sorry, I detect more assumptions from another salesperson. ha ha ha. Please also refrauin from profanity towards me. You're very telling in your post about your personality. Maybe you are souless. Remember, I said maybe.

Do we know each other? You've never met me and you definitely state that I am the following:......

You say I have a chip on my shoulder.

You say I'm being an Axxhole on purpose.

You say I have a shxt attitude.

You say I am a liar. (I came in and told him I wasn't buying till April)

I never get refund checks. I pay, the question is how much. That determines what options I get.

Wow. Very clear sir. Profanity and accusations from a "professional".

I dont think Route66 meant anything disrespectful by his post. I was an ass when i went shopping, but i ended up buying from a great sales guy that hooked me up and to him i was very couteous but i was icey cold. Just very to the point and no nonsense. He was great and i couldn't have been happier with him. No "sitdowns" or "what can i do to get you in this truck today?" He just gave me his card an said when i was ready to buy to come talk to him. I didnt hear back from him at all, but after dealing with other salesguys and getting prices and test drives i opened my wallet, found "Smitty's" card and called him and eventually bought from him. Although i will say this, i think you can do better on price. I know things are pricy in CA (i think thats where you said you're from) but that price seems high to me. I paid 26.5k for a V6 Double Cab, TRD off road, 4x4, tow package SR5 blah blah blah. i think i have what you're looking at except i paid 26.5k including TTT and got 4x4 and the Double Cab. i think you can do better if you're patient. plus, you need to play some dealers against each other. try to have them outbid each others prices, thats what i did to get my deal. good luck

Hey ERdept only paragraph B was meant for you. That's why they are separated. And I don't recall calling you any names or anyone else for that matter. All those references where in general. Just like the All souless creatures. (I know that wasn't you). Your paragraphs give away some of your personality also. and you do sound a little sensitive. Maybe you should buy a Ridgeline instead. hehe:p

As far as the last paragraph.

Sorry I got the two mixed. You're right you didn't have a chip or a badge to begin with and you didn't lie to the dealer, but like I said only paragraph B was meant for you.

If I offended anyone that actually owns a Toyota I apologize. The rest...:)

I am not a big fan of car sales people either, but when I go and buy an vehicle I do not walk in with an attitude. Its all about educating yourself about the vehicle you are buying and the whole buying process its self. When I bought my first Tacoma I got screwed and it was no ones fault but my own, I let them do it to me. I have bought two other trucks since and got really good deals. I defiantly make them earn their money but I never get rude or disrespectful.

    end of rant....
