My tears I cried when I paid $37k out the door including TTL (2021 SR5 4WD V6) are now running backwards after reading these posts.

Sales dude called me today wishing me happy second anniversary in the truck - yea so it was 2 years ago today....
I think I could get 37k for it right now.

Somebody will come along and pay it.

$1,000.00 a month car payments are a real thing for some people.

To be fair to them, I think it was temp VIN since it was just an allocation at that time. However, $25k really. How much of an idiot do they think their customers are? And what kind of business would WANT to do that to their customers? That’s why I thought I should share it. I would definitely not use their service department if their sales department is that underhanded. To me it shows something is rotten in Denmark. To be so brazen means leadership at that dealership have zero qualms about screwing their customers. I know most are exactly the same way but this is perhaps the biggest example I have ever seen in my life.

I live in SC but am buying from outside the SE Toyota distributorship, in Tennessee. SE just seems to rip people off. Until consumers stop paying their various cash grabs, it will continue.

Some jackass was trying to flip his Raptor R on carsandbids last week. It no sold for ($151,000). MSRP was $111,550. Dude claimed it wasn’t enough profit, although he claims he paid $147k after tax which I call bullshit.

Jeez just walk away. Why post about it? If people are dumb enough to buy from them then your little post will not deter the stupid.

Yes sir, exactly what I stated. As in it was not a 25k mark up.

(Which was the whole point of my post ie: mark ups are getting ridiculous)

stay away from toyota of clermont near orlando. I drove 90 mins to put a deposit down after the guy told me over the phone they'd sell at MSRP and I could come put a $1k deposit down... only to be told it was a $5k mark up, non negociable, and no deposit i had to fill out all the financing paperwork right then and there. I turned around and started to walk out and the guy copped a bit of an attitude when I said no thank you. I was seeing red so I just needed to get out of there. This was 3 days after I was rear ended at 70ish mph and had my 2017 totaled.

I had a deposit at clearwater Toyota and Autonation Pinellas park at MSRP, neither could deliver me anything close after 3 months. Clearwater Toyota didn't even get a TRD OR in any color. ended up flying to GA to buy a truck on the lot. Nobody was getting anything in FL, I checked that damn excel sheet every day and the only trucks coming into fL were.... clermont toyota (see my post before this)

My dealer here in SC sells everything at MSRP plus $499 doc fee. They don’t add anything else to the price like tinted windows, pin stripes, etc. I refuse to pay a markup over MSRP.
