Not hard at all to fab. The old hitch was perfect for cutting apart and using as the recovery point and base. Otherwise it’s just a bit of 3/16 plate and gussets.

    Very nice.
Are you just throwing this together for yourself/fun or is this a commercial venture for yourself?

Well what do your columns look like? I’m shopping for sliders and maybe a skid plat this winter and I’d rather not pay FedEx freight $300 to ship stuff from California.

Been working on sliders and skid plate designs...

Ideally, I would sell them as DIY kits, pre-cut but not bent and welded. For the price savings, you could probably buy a small 140 welder and grinder.
Not opposed to opening up the conversation for full build-outs. Especially if others want in, makes material price cheaper and I can be more efficient with my time working on multiples.

This digital file is for 3rd gens, but the skid plate is the same for 2nd gens, and I have a slider plate design for 2nd gens as well.
I can customize or remove the "logo". Obviously J-DUB is my handle, the typeface is from Bladerunner (insert nerd comment)

    soooo lets talk lol

I would end up paying someone to weld it up for me. I like DIY with some stuff, but with welding I know I’m better off writing an expert a check.

I guess figure out what you want to offer. Looks like you got 3 people looking already.

I need to get a tube bender before I can approach sliders, but I'm down to fab up some skids!

Ill price up some plate and come up with a number to throw out to the group and see who takes. I need to add the oil filter lid for the 3rd gen version.

Quick show of hands: How many would be interested in a trip to Mettowee off-road park up by Lake George in mid October (peak color season)?

Thanks for posting these! I'm so interested in welding, I just can't make the jump into it. Largely because I don't have a garage, or even a paved driveway to work...

I believe trails are rated, like ski slopes. Some I'm sure could be done in a stock vehicle. Or we could get you a lift, tires, and armor before then!
