A little too far me. TBH I am so over driving through storms I need a day off. The last few weeks here have been brutal Ice, high winds and a shit ton of snow.

It was pretty pretty mild out there. Schoharie Valley got a max of 9" of snow and relatively clean seasonal roads. Driving was fine if anything a little boring. Exploring these old two tracks in snowfall still makes me nervous. you have no idea if there is a washout hidden or rocks, etc. I packed up to camp at one of the pond sites but the 30mph winds deterred me. i was in the process of hooking up my camper but at the last minute decided against it. After having to reverse out of tight "road" almost 2 miles I'm glad I wasn't towing anything. there are two good "roadside" camp areas that would tightly fit 3-4 trucks for a meetup if people were interested in the future.

Any thoughts on trying to make something happen?

I’m still down for doing a weekend, and possibly two separate spots.

I see the weekend of 4/16 is Easter, so that may not be the best bet. 4/23?

I wouldn't be around Easter weekend or the one before so the 23rd works for me

Metowee is an option, seems like we can go there anytime we want. (no camping yet) It’s 30$ for a rig and driver, 10$ for every person after that. I think I could make the weekend of the 23rd work but have to check with the boss.

I believe 4/23 is also opening weekend at FlexRock, for those of us out West.

I know a place in Syr, but I'm sure there is one closer to you. I ended up bringing some foam cushions for an antique chair to this fabric place in the area. I think I was the only male/person under 70 that walked into the place in 5 years. I couldn't believe the price that they charged to recover a "small" foam cushion. I want to say this was 4 or 5 years ago, and for a 2 foot by 6 foot cushion it was like $400+.

As for a spring meet, Lets go with 4/23, or entire weekend. As far as a place, I was trying to figure out how to put a poll in here, but I give up.

Options are Mettowee (North of Albany), Esperance NY (as mentioned previously in here - private land, West of Albany), BHM (Southern Tier Kinda, close to Cortland), new place in Attica (Western NY), or any other recommendations?

I'll throw out the idea again of going from Esperance on Saturday, camping in between on the way, then BHM on Sunday. Roughly two hours between the two. But feel free to throw out some other ideas.

I'd also like to know a little more about the property in Esperance, only because a lot of the pictures I saw had a lot of rocks - and all I got is sliders.

    Thoughts/"votes"?

Im a fan as well. I may only make it for one day, but I'll cross that bridge when we get to it. In the future a Metowee > Esperance > BHM over 3 days is as close as we can get to a NY Overland route.

Going to see what happens with the ground here in the next week or so, we went down to camp this past weekend with quads, started out in the 4 runner would have made a total mess of the trail .Frost really loosened the ground up this year. We are southern exposure and the wind hammers right in so it could dry stuff out substantially .
