Same here. did a little scouting down there last weekend. The black bears have came down from the mountains to fill up on blackberries.

 

I can't wait for early bear. I'll be out as much as possible. I basically hunt only within the Park - so I only know of the NORA stuff out of Ellenville and I think they go out on Hunter? I do like Vernooy Kill though - I've driven around that a touch

 

Hey all, I was scrolling through some NE threads and saw someone mention Ellenville. My father's property is one town over, so I'd thought I'd pop in and say hi!

 

@Hellvillain about an hour north of me. Sounds like there some nice trails up that way.

 

Ah, so I pass you on the way up every weekend lol. I really only spend the weekends up there, I work down on LI. Haven't found much but there are a couple good spots. That and using our own property

Been a bit ,but hello everyone

 

Does anyone have any interest in getting out this weekend to explore some state forests? The weather is getting better where i can start taking my daughter out camping on weekends. I'm curious what roads will be accessible to my camper prior to dragging it out there. i know the warm weather has probably caused some freeze/thaw and some icy trails in places.
Thinking Burnt Rossman, Mallet Pond, maybe rensselaerville

 

I'll be going out again this weekend if there's any interest. should have a foot of snow tonight and more friday and saturday for a nice little snow wheeling end to the winter.

 

Hello everyone, I'm relocating at the end of April to Utica, NY from Denver and stumbled across a post on a 4runner forum that lead me here. I grew up not far from there and as a kid did some "off roading" in the catskills with a friends Dodge K car (station wagon)... Since then, I've upgraded. Without reading these 53 other pages, are there ever any meetups?
Looking forward to meeting some folks and finding some trails!

 

None planned so far, How does April 28th sound? Where do we want to go?

 

I still would like to something at my place at some point. We will definitely be around memorial day weekend at camp and the normal BBQ fire shenanigans if that works? Before that could work too depending on how the ground dries. Don't have alot of easy stuff here but don't need to turn that into difficult take out the side of your truck trails.

 

There is also my friends place up the road in esperance ,mountain madness New York state off road park. I believe he is allowing group get togethers now to use trails and camp between the mud events. Think he's just under 400acres of usable area now. Probably would be a typical camp fee for the weekend. On an event like trucks gone wild I think it's 100$ adult Fri morn to sun afternoon. I will find out either way.

 

As a Californian, I'd like to see some trucks with cool NY backgrounds. I've always wanted to visit NY, upstate and NYC.

 

So want to see rust with cut out fenders to clear big tires and no lift?

 

I'll be in a penske truck somewhere around Ohio on the 28th, but mid may I'd like to explore a little and start figuring out where to go since BLM land isn't really a thing there.
