They have changed their business model to sell us JUNK and take our money. Now that's funny.

1989 Camry, 2001 Accord LX, 2003 Tacoma, 2011 Sierra Denali, 2003 Ford ranger. All flawless. The Camry had over 160k on it as did the ranger. Any other questions?

Nope, just my brain cogs turning. I think the previous vehicles a person owns have a big impact on how they feel about the current one. For example someone coming from a parade of jalopys to your exact truck might have no complaints, and you might find fault in my truck too even though I don't. Not exactly a huge insight I know.

So Toyota changer their business model? Project/program management would have zero control over that.

I had three 5th gen 4Runners in seven years. They were good but not perfect vehicles. As a matter of fact my 2nd 5th gen had so many little things (door glass rattle, squeaky suspension, slightly loose steering wheel, etc) that I got rid of it at 40K miles. I got another one because I knew I got one that got built on a Monday morning after a hard party weekend of robots drinking their equivalent of alcohol, whatever that is.
Did I come on the internet's and bitch and complain about it? No. Did i talk about my problems in every thread and make disparaging remarks about Toyota? What good would that do? After I got another I told people why, but while it was happening I just worked between my dealer and me. I didn't need a bunch of internet buddies to "help" lol. My dealer was great through the whole process but every week it was something else it seemed like. BTW the next 4Runner was flawless. My Tacoma is great with zero problems. Life is good. I knew i got a bad one so then i got a good one.

american companies pretend to apply good quality controls and implement quality programs like ISO 9001, but upper management does little to enforce them as quality is seines a problem. it is simply limiting or putting profits at risk....in addition, companies tend to look the other way when things happen and place all the blame on the quality organizations.....i am a believer in QA squared ( quality audit and quality assist).....all quality organizations can do is find problem thru audit or customer corrective action requests and offer solutions with help from manufacturing engineering or design engineering.....but the truth is, most of those organizations believe quality only to be an obstruction to profits and hinder the shipping process....
even when you outsource to Asia.....the shipping and delivery schedule was so important, the final tests on laser products was never done, just signed-off....when I brought this to our VP of operations, he did nothing and would not allow me to travel back to Asia....I resigned two days later

Not a stereotype, a well documented, long standing truth. Don't act like you don't know exactly what I'm talking about

Honestly I don't have the slightest clue of what you mean. I have a 1968 GTO too so what does that make me? Nothing other than a guy who likes vehicles.

Here is one of the best toys I had. It never broke and I sold it for a bunch of $$$$. Locked, lifted, gears, and a bigger motor. Wish I still had it.

You cover the loss and I'd be happy to. Of course, it'd be difficult at the present moment because its stuck on a dealer lot waiting for a recall repair, but I'm sure some other dealer would be happy to take if off my hands like that right?

Also, you sound like a shill.

Edit: Never mind, that would explain it. hahaha

I came from a VW GTI that burned almost as much oil as it did gas. The roof also fell off. It had multiple recalls on it, but VW handled that sort of thing in a day or two NOT WEEKS. This is my main point.

Delivering a quality product at the end of a project run and ensuring that it is supported by replacements parts falls entirely within the scope of a major automotive project. Other dealers do it. Damn, there sure are a lot of apologists out there who don't want to hold Toyota accountable for their failings.
