I couldn't do that in my 4 banger with 33s even with a supercharger.

It was a 100hp 4cyl... I was impressed. Take it how you want. My Chevy Monza
didn’t light em up as good in the bleach box. The no power steering and no power brakes drifting before drifting was even a form.

Because stuff connects to a frame and can detatch it'll be cheaper to repair vs a Camry correct -- whereas on the Camry or Accord the entire transaxle has to come out to get the engine out right?

I mean to say that repairs on a Toyota pickup will be cheaper than repairing a forward drive unibody car with or without automatic transmission

Eeek,. Here I go again thinking of maybe should I get a car?

State the above and then convince me why I should get a truck.

Damn I can't imagine trying a 4 wheel peel in my truck. I guess without lockers it can't be done anyway, but I imagine I'd have to be literally on ice.

I find myself wondering why choose a truck, I've put a ton of thought into which transportation device I should use. From Baja bugs to razor scooters and public transport...

It all comes down to mind, as reliable--

    That's how I've phrased it,

But I'm wondering if there is something more to it than that ...

Like not wanting to be on the streets + having utility of a bed + the fun factor of driving a truck

It will eat up half my disposable income I'll be left with around $70 USD per month.

I saw someoneselling a truck and on there Facebook profile they had a skateboard that said reliable -- it's making me question why I'm choosing a Toyota pickup and my assertion of wanting one for reliability.

Hell it's a vehicle that may break down , I can always take the bus and ride my razor scooter and get to where I need to be 100 percent of the time.

So... What's it coming down to for me? Why am I wanting a truck? I just bought the tools and the book, kinda put the cart before the horse

Honestly if money is that tight I'd consider a cheap 4 seat car or a wagon. Toyota pickups fetch a premium even when 30+ years old. Trust me, I've had 3 tacomas and a land cruiser... You could have a car from the mid to late 2000s for the same price as a 30 year old Toyota truck and parts will be cheaper for most cars.

    ?

Maybe I just miss camping that much, I don't know. Hopefully a truck is a good choice or helps me in some way. Hopefully it's not just adding cost to my life, but hopefully it enables me to get a job, for instance

I wrote to the person that had "reliable" on there skateboard and asked them

Hey, I stumbled upon your profile after seeing your truck for sale. Anyways, why'd you write reliable on your skateboard? I thought that to be very clever... Do you indeed find it to be reliable? The roads can get a little bumpy...I'm reconsidering why I want an old truck and I think it has something to do with wanting to be able to go places, I've always thought I wanted one that's reliable but I'm not sure. A bus and my scooter would probably be more reliable so I'm not really sure why

Why do people spend so much money on card when they can take a bus and get there cheaper with less of a safety risk ect...

As with anything, that depends on the specifics. The motors on pickups don't exactly fall out with 4 bolts, either. But then again, motor replacements are EXTREMELY rare.

But if you can't even decide between a car or a truck because you think one or the other *might* be easier to work on, when you don't even know if those are common things to need work, you just need to go to CarMax and buy the first vehicle that falls in your lap. Car, truck, boat, doesn't matter.

I'm serious, his skateboard says reliable on it
... It's akin to my razor scooter and the bus route...

Why spend half of my disposable income on a truck!?

Tell me why? I've been riding the bus for the last few years....

    I think I know why,

It all doesn't boil down to reliability though or I'd be taking the bus, in other words... There is something more that I'm after than reliable transportatiom
