    Good Day All,

I recently took delivery of a 2010 Tacoma.

I have owned Toyota's for many years and found the Platinum Warranty package to be of great benifit. Down side has always been cost.

I was doing web reasearch on alternatives and came accross this link.

After reading through the post, exchangeing seveal emails and talking to the post originator,( Mike Boomhower (MBoomhower@dt.handycars.com) I opted to buy a 7 year/ 100,000K warranty from Toyota via Mike at a price near 1/2 of what I would have paid @ most other dealers.

Mike processed my warranty with no problems. Terms of the sale and cost are clearly laid out on the post and in the spread sheet linked @ the post.

This is the real deal and strongly recommend If you are in the market for a Toyota Platinum Warranty, you check this out.

Good find or advertisement:confused:. Anyway I'm gonna look into it. My dealer here told me I couldn't purchase the Plat because I bought my truck from a private party.

ZAC, Best talk to Mike. Don't really know how this would work on a third party buy.

According to TS, as long as it's under 36K mi and 36 months I should be good. But I will look into it and let TW know what's up.

No, we are 'downsizing' our life/needs so went with a 2 wheel 4 CYL extended cab SR5 model. Had one of th first 'extended cabs (pre Tacoma) vintage 1989, ran it to 200K+ before 'retiring' it.\\
Untll 4 weeks ago, I had a 2000 Tundra V8 SR5.This guy ran a stop sign and totaled it. Was a great truck.

I paid less than that from the dealership, just good negotiating ;)

Yup on an 07 4x4 double cab.
