I would also say they need to sell the new Land Cruiser in the US but it’s not like I could afford it anyway lol

I drove an early 80s single cab long bed as a work truck (in the 80s).
You felt every bump, it rattled, the stereo sucked, manual everything, and no ac. But it was bulletproof.
The 3rd gen is a MUCH better vehicle.

I agree 100% but i do miss roughing it in my ‘89 4x4 yota…..ahhh the memories….hand fabricating out of steel and rivets, a double cup holder that would hold a mexican coke bottle on one side, and my favorite insulated coffee mug on the left.

I agree, would of been nice if they stuck to that formula. Love the quirkiness of them compared to the American counterparts. Though whatever they are doing, it is working for the Tacoma, they sell every last of them. Had mine for 8 months now, love it more and more every time I drive it. Seems to be about the perfect Goldilocks size, rides nice, dig the interior layout, engine has plenty of enough power for me. Couple nit picky things I have with it, should have a turbo diesel and better payload…but overall very happy.

As for the Tundra, nice truck, however at that price point would buy a F350 and have an actual decent payload. Only reason I would buy a full-size is to toss a camper in the bed.

My old ‘92…only surviving picture of it, back when we used film. This was up the mountain above Sedona. Had blue bucket seats out of an Acura that amazing matched the rest of the interior. That truck went all over the West, AZ, CO, UT, CA, NM, Baja. The black thing on the hood is a futon I used to toss in the bed to sleep on, took up a lot of room, but man it was comfortable!

Lol! Just turned 50, that was somewhere on Schnebly Hill Road. We lived in Tucson for 20 years, made runs to Sedona, Prescott and Flag a bunch.
