I can't hear the intake any better now. I also do not go full throttle very often.

I’d love to find this part, but I live in Canada so it’s not available here (typical) Anyone know a way I can get one? No US parts site will do intl shipping and if they do it’s $70US shipping alone..

I'm sure if you twist a TWer's arm that is south of the border, they could order two (one for themselves) and toss the other up to you for whatever the shipping cost is? The trouble is finding the least expensive method. USPS International Flat Rate is $26.85 for the Small box and $49.60 for the Medium. The part is going to be thicker than 1 5/8in.

A padded envelope might be less expensive and of a size that is more realistic for the part.

Ive already been driving with the drop in TRD air filter, slightly good mid range end throttle response, no mpg gains, no throaty noise, just slight difference in noise at acceleration vs stock.

Will see how the accelerator works.

    Avg 16.5mpg sometimes get 17mpg

I did the TRD CAI and Pro exhaust. Together they sound awesome, cannot really feel any gains. However the truck drives and is so much smoother. I had the TSB58 done just as an update as to not really needing it. I paid $700 for both from Toyota, got hooked up on a wholesale price. My truck runs great, always has since new but now runs even better.

Put a logging vacuum gauge, right before the manifold, w/ stock air filter. Do a few 0-70s with the pedal squished.

Drop in a KN hi-flow filter. Repeat the test. See that? The lower peak vacuum proves the KN makes a difference.

It isn't much, but it's there and it's real.

That is the most you can achieve with this set of tubing without adding some way to force more air into the manifold.

Add an NO2 bottle where you measured vacuum. That'll be noticeable.

Or, sell the truck and buy a McLaren ffs.

The reason the KN has less vacuum is because it's filtering less. Run the same test with no air filter and there will be an even larger difference. How many of us want to run with no air filter just for the minuscule difference in intake vacuum? Stick with the stock filter and you won't have to worry about dust getting into the engine.

I have run K&Ns for hundreds of thousands of miles. We have never had engine problems or even AMM fouling. There were even cases where like the TRD, the K&Ns were aftermarket options or were installed from the factory.

The only good reason that I have not installed one on the Taco is because the extra airflow is not needed due to the size of the box. They were a huge benefit for the tiny airboxes on my bike and for low RPM spool on our turbos.

Yes, the KN isn't filtering out particles that no engine or intake system cares about. True.

Prove that you have a reason to care, post empirical evidence.

I have a 2020 that i put Gibson Exhaust on and a full K&N intake. My truck hated the intake took it off this weekend, yes the sound was louder but i feel as it lost power.
