Manual. I had a cold air intake for about a week before I got the tune. The intake made it feel slower actually and i HATED the sound. But my mpg dropped 3 or 4 mpg and I drive like a granny. But i went back to the stock airbox and trd filter. No sound change what so ever but it does feel smoother through the rpm's

It was really at high rpms but it would scream. It actually made a big difference in throttle along with the tune. So much so I almost went back and switch to the mild tune but I happened to switch back to the factory air box and that took care of my beef with it. That and I did the accumulator delete so that helped a ton also.

Any time! Happy to help share the info that cost me good money to help others not have to spend it lol.

I'm doing the hps intake boot next to get rid of the resinators or whatever they call them on the factory intake. That with the trd filter will hopefully. Get the slight improvement in throttle response I'm looking for without being too loud. Also if you're looking for more sound you could remove the prefilter made into the air box lid. I left mine because I believe it's a charcoal filter.

It was the rough country. My sole intent was to improve throttle response and being a lot of controversy I went with the cheapest one available. The quality was impressive for the price and it was well made. It didn't do much for throttle response and gas mileage didn't change a bit. I was interested in testing those but it didn't change enough to deal with the sound lol. Nearly Brand new in box though. I'm selling it

Ahhh, you removed the OEM Tacoma fully enclosed cold air intake system that uses the V8 tundra air filter and installed that open air filter system. Those things allow you to hear more induction noise while pulling in heated underhood air through a cone filter.

Exactly why I went back. They make no sense. I wanted to see if it effected gas mileage with the tune. But i put the factory back in. The factory pulls from the fender, the "cold air" ones pull from under the hood.

Cold Air Intakes pull air from outside of the engine compartment, hence the name.
The open air cone filters are shrouded, pull a lot of heated engine compartment air and incorrectly named.

That's why I had it in quotes lol. I was trying to point out the irony in installing a marketed cold air intake that actually pulls warmer air.

Technically as long as it sounds like this, you can call it anything you'd like

From hearing what everyone is talking about the velocity stack not doing anything I honestly can say it did do something for me.

I have a stock intake with a k&n drop in filter along with a tune and recently installed the flow accelerator. Everytime I gas the pedal probably around 70% or lower the VTech kicks in hard I'll be swerving its kinda scary. It could be the wet roads but before having this I don't remember swerving like that.

It's my second day of driving with it on and I'm enjoying it due to the fact I can slight feel better throttle and better lower end torque. Could be my imagination but the feels are real when I be swerving.
