Every vehical I've ever driven has a transmission clunk if you drive it a certain way, usually when coming to a stop then suddenly giving a lot of gas then slowing down again. Computer gets confused on what gear you want to be in.

Most of us are probably $30,000 in the hole just like you man. I don't know anyone whose parents would buy them a 30k truck. Except for maybe like 1 or 2 dudes I went to shool with. I'm sure the majority of guys here worked just as hard or harder than you for their shit. And the guys that got a lot of help from their parents are just lucky man and maybe they deserved it because they helped their parents with the family buisness, whatever the case who the fuck cares man. This forum is for guys that have a truck. Who cares how they got it.

OP, you joined Saturday and mentioned 2 out of 3 of these issues. Your truck is due for the "free" service, have or are you going to contact a dealer to address said issues? If I had issues with a new car, I would not be happy either, but I would have my warranty to help and if said problem persisted, I would get a new vehicle.

Someone said I was an idiot for buying a Toyota. Even though I've had some problems, overall I like the Tacoma. I think I was an idiot for getting on this idiotic forum.

That might be true, but the "idiot" comment came from a Tacoma owner, hence a joke.

For the record, I think everyone questions their TW membership from time to time...lol

I've had 2 recalls on my truck, both completed, I had a misaligned bed which I fixed myself, my truck rolls forward when I put it in drive, I have had to change out part of the grill because someone at Toyota thought it would be funny to put chrome on truck that has everything else color matched. Toyota quality is not what it used to be.

I traded a 2019 Ford mustang GT in for my 2019 taco. My son traded his 2017 mustang GT in on a Yaris. Both for same reason. Ford durability and long term concerns due to the engine typewriter tick. That shit ain't good for an engine no matter what fords tsb says. Stay away from Ford. You will regret it otherwise.

Well, if you essentially introduce yourself as someone who has problems with his brand new truck and hasn't shown the ability to get it fixed, one could see why they might agree with you. Have you done anything about the problems with your brand new still warrantied truck? What you have posted so far says "no you have not".

Not all are perfect, you would hope so, for the fact that it's new and the amount of money spent on it. But if there's a problem, you should bring it to the dealer (as I may have said before in this thread) and have them evaluate and fix the problem. In most people's experience, complaining about a problem doesn't make it go away. Sorry bud, go get it fixed.

I feel like I am talking to my 26 y/o stepson...

Just a quick comment on this but you do realize there is a large contingency on this forum that are well beyond the age where our parents are buying us anything don’t you?

And many of us are vets and have worked in many of those industries or professions you’ve mentioned and have never been “given” anything.

On the other hand, I bet a huge part of us have actually spent the majority of lives using the fruits of our labor to purchase things for others and are just now in the position to maybe partake in some of that hard earned fruit ourselves.

Just a little food for thought. Not everyone here is generation XYZ or whatever...

I just wonder what the average age is of the people that are bitchin...

The 2nd gen is far from perfect, I’ve got a shift hiccup now and then, a feeling like some ass hat kicked the tail gate at stops, less than solid brake feel...even with upgrades, window switches that can’t take water of any amount...
But it is a truck, they are not Cadillacs and EVERYONE has parts made in other countries that are sub par... not the engineers choice, it is the bean counters that force this...

Does age make you more or less accepting??
