What about the seats? The pictured does not look that bad. All the ones I have seen looked worse and happened to be cloth. They all looked like some one had been driving the truck for a while, which is unlikely. I thought it might have been irregularities in the foam.

The driver's seat should be more robust by design in the first place, but that's another topic.

I mean dealer prep as in while I am signing the paper work up front they have it in back cleaning it, removing any residue from protective tapes or plastics, and making sure all the documentation is in the car before I drive away. I don’t mean applying anything like protectant, just cleaning and detailing for my walk around.

Example, I picked up my Lexus ES in December and there were spots all over the chrome trim. I saw spots in chrome and was worried it was damaged by acid rain. It was actually a smoked chrome and the spots were from a cleaner they used. They were able to get them off before I pulled away. But I saw it during my walk around.

You wouldn’t have noticed those light scratches if the dealer did the detail. Anyway Toyota quality isn’t what it’s used to.

These are small items, and I personally wouldn’t care about it; but with that mark up price, I would be pissed for no reason.

I can also see small food crumps at the corner of the driver seat. I think they just didn’t prep it for you.

I don’t think they will change the parts. These can easily be scuffed up and cleaned.

Those aren’t scratches. They are scuff marks from use. If you’re unhappy, return the truck and they will sell it two days later to someone else.

Did you order this truck or is it one that could have been taken for test rides by other potential buyers? That plastic is pretty soft and scuffs really easy as mentioned above. You can probably leave a mark with your finger nail. Did you try wiping with a damp cloth? Many people have handled and been in and out of that truck since it left the factory. This is not a Toyota quality issue.

[OP] stated that he didn't let the dealer prep the car at time of delivery, if he did IMHO 95% of those defects probably would have been addressed, just saying.

Silly question... why did you buy it if it was not up to your standards?

You were intending to spend $1000 on paint correction on a brand new paint job?

If that’s the case (I’m assuming you did the correction yourself) why didn’t you run the buffer over the areas in question and be done with it?

No. A stage 2 correction to remove the swirls and buffer marks dealers install runs around $900 on average.
