    Howdy guys,
I am catching up on mtx on a '97 Tacoma and a '96 Camry before it gets unbearably hot outside. The bellows for the rack & pinion need replacement on both vehicles. But I don't see any grease type specified for the rack and pinion steering gear in the Haynes manual. Anyone know if a certain type of grease is specified for this app? TIA!

Found it on SR-77 about page 1336 in the factory SM. Molybdenum disulfide lithium based grease is specified for use on the teeth of the steering rack. And it looks like power steering fluid or the same moly grease on the rest of the shaft under the bellows/boot. I don't need any grease-to-grease/seal/boot compatibility issues so will use the factory specified grease type.
