My wife is looking at a few used Rav4s to replace her Cobalt. I have zero experience with them, are they decent? the few she is looking at are all 4cyl, 4wd, 4 speed autos ranging from 2005 to 2008 or 2009 i think.

The 2006-2012 had a v6 option but they are not 4wd it is more of an awd system.

Any toyota is good as long as it was maintained.
Any back history on them will help you or her with the decision.

I just traded my 06 Rav4 when I bought my new Tacoma. At 190K miles the only issues I had was the tire pressure indicator light airbag indicator light would not go out. Tires, oil, brakes, transmission fluid, basic maintenance and it was a great little SUV. I had the 4cyl FWD not the AWD. Except for some hail dings the exterior paint was in great shape. Had enough clearance to get me up and down some fun offroad trailhead access roads!

My mom had one. She liked the older one better than the new one she just got. The old one was a V6, this one is a 4.

The air bag light was because the spiral cable went bad in the steering column.
