Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
You need to go in, and tell them to show you the paperwork. Show them it is a warranty extension. This is/should be warranted. I'd be calling corporate and sending them these pictures along with telling them your problem. Go find another dealership and ask them.

Well I received a message late in the day from the GM at the dealership stating that it looks like they came together and were going to take care of the repair. He thanked me for my efforts and said that the parts would be ordered, as they are in a back order status and would call me once they arrived. Not sure why this was so difficult. I have always been skeptical of dealerships but giving them the benefit of the doubt I think the dealership may have been working off the manufacturers extension and not my Extended Warranty I purchased. I finally provided the dealership the phone number for Gulf States Toyota (administrator of Extended Warranty for southern US area) and the names of the folks I spoke with there. Well good! Through all those phone calls I had to make back and forth, it was all kept very professional and non-demanding.....so it can be done with a bit of persistence if dealership push back is involved. :)

I just noticed my driver side lens was burnt when I went to try and buff out the oxidation this weekend. Called the Dealer and they told me that the SPA was actually pushed out to November 2015... I'm over 120,000 on a 2011 and he verified my VIN was covered. I'm just supposed to call him when I want to come in for it to get changed out.

It took 2 weeks for the parts to come in before my fix and I'm on the west coast where I think they come in at. Best to call and make sure the parts are actually there when you decide to go in.

Thank you for mentioning that, I gave him a call him back. I was going to wait for my oil change but I'm glad I didn't because there is a couple of weeks wait here on the East coast too. Thanks again!

So the Chrome or Smoked lens is based on whether it's a Standard or not, does year matter? I have a set of lights I'm trying to use a friends truck to get replaced as my truck does not fall under the warranty. He has aftermarket lights.

I didn't know this was a 'known' issue until last week. I received the warranty enhancement letter in the mail Friday. I've had the burnt DTRLs for a year; figured I put in the wrong wattage bulbs when they burnt out.

You can only imagine how happy I was to see that it wasn't my fault. I called Friday, and got an appointment this morning. Now my 2010 has two impeccably clean headlights. #win

Finally got mine installed. The parts were on national back order per my Dealership on the East Coast. Almost an 8 week wait time but it was free so.... :D

Yes, it's great! I still cheese over them. I had been cringing at the site of my old headlights for about a year now. The truck just sits outside all day every day with no option for shelter. I will need to make sure I protect them better this time.

I just received an extended warranty sticker from Toyota in regards to this. I don't believe my truck is experiencing this. Maybe it will down the road.

Just had this done on my '11 Taco. Went into my dealership stating "the lens was bubbled and cracked," the tech confirmed, parts ordered and was replaced within the week. Ask your service coordinator if they ordered the "new" lights, mine ordered the old ones the first time around.

In case anyone isn't up-to-date or doesn't want to re-read all the text:

This is not a recall but is a defect covered by Warranty Enhancement Program POL14-03. This policy covers all '05-'11 Tacos until November 30 2015. After this date, you vehicle may still fall under secondary coverage.

I was washing my truck this weekend and noticed the melting and distortion on my DRL's. Got curious and searched on here and found the info. My truck is a 2007 Taco with 115,000 miles and they gave me no hassle. It's getting fixed now with 2 brand new headlight units.....helped that I had the warranty extension printed when I brought the truck in.

I got the headlights changed out yesterday under the DTRL melt issue, parts came in quickly and work was performed in a few hours, plus now they are correctly aimed after some ride height adjustments. I am one happy camper.
