I certainly understand where you're coming from, but if I got mine back after all this time and it wasn't washed and the leak stain was still there, I'd tell them to march the truck on back and let me know when it's clean and actually ready for pickup. lol

I looked into a trade in for a 2017, I think, forgot to ask. $7,900.00 difference. I almost accepted then I thought, I have a Tacoma with less then 8,000 miles on it, why do I have to cough up more money to get a truck that works. Besides, will the 17 or 18 have all the problems mine has?

It's now day 77! Looks like I made the two and a half mark after all. Here's hoping for the three month mark! Sarcasm again.

CEO's assistant told me today by phone that parts are driving around in different dealerships. I hope you get yours soon very soon. I also ask my dealship if they received other parts for other customer taco's that are sitting in the back waiting. They said yes. I said sorry I know it's none of my business but I was curious to know. I just wanted to know that other people are being taken care of as well.

Demand a 4Runner, citing "a truck for a truck." Mine came from Oklahoma, not gonna argue how it got to Austin.

I took mine in today. They have to keep it, and they won't even guess how long they will have it. They say it's only the second one they have seen that has the issue.

Just got mine back. 34 days in a rental. About 1,200 dollar bill for Toyota. They replaced my entire differential because of excessive oil loss and metal shavings. Happy to be back in my truck and out of my dodge caravan. They also hand washed it when it came in and before getting it back.

Most of you are way more patient then I am.
I'm patient for no more than 30 days.
Why is that? Because that's when my states lemon law kicks in.
Forget that 2-3 month hold bullshit.
Luckily I've had zero problems with my truck. Just the usual crappy dealership service which is ok because I'm good at playing games to.

Let me say this though, I still think the Tacoma is a better truck than the Colorado. I am a huge Chevy fan and have owned many of their trucks. But when it comes to midsize trucks Toyota owns that.

Lemon laws don't apply to recalls unless the recall fix doesn't work. Many have already went down that road and no Lemon Law

I tried. I asked him if he would tow my camper for me if I couldn't get a vehicle that could. Still didn't work.

I know in Texas, if you are provided a rental car, it exempts you from utilizing the lemon law.

I went to pick my truck up and looked under it and the stain was still there. Went right back in with my pictures and the service advisor wouldn't agree that it was a leak. He just works the counter he says. On to the manager, who i make crawl under the truck with me, who says its a weeping not a leak. His definition of leak is it would have to be dripping. He said in this case they check fluid and retorque and send you on your way. Nice guy, but eff him.

I hit it with brakeleen when i got home so i can continue to monitor. If i see it again, Im calling corporate so they can instruct the dealer to do their jobs.

I'm sure many are considering trading to

Finally got the call from my dealer. Parts are in and they'll have it fixed this weekend. As of today, they have had my truck for eighty-one (81) days.
