I am taking my truck in this Saturday for my 20k service and I will have them do the recall inspection as well. Fingers crossed, I don't see any visual evidence of leakage.

Could this issue be connected to the vibrations at 2200 rpms?

When did you buy it? The paint may be to indicate that the dealer had checked the nuts for proper torque...

That explains it, the dealers cannot sell one of the affected vehicles until the recall "fix" has been applied...

Day 38. They're up to 75 on the back lot of a GMC dealership since they ran out of room at Toyota delearship. Same stealership owner. I called them last Saturday to see if they'd bring it in to do the service bulletin fix on the hard shift from reverse to drive. I just thought that was the way it was until I got in this forum and saw there was a fix. They have not done that yet. What makes it different that they have it hostage or if I would have just brought in for this service bulletin. I just hoped to give it a little TLC. When I brought up the poor paint in the consistent 100+ degree temps here, the service manager proceeded to tell me the paint is meant to withstand the Sahara desert. I'm am so tired of this fiasco and the BS they feed me. Enterprise told me I could get the oil changed in the Renegade and where to go where they could be billed.

Is your truck on the recall? I didn't think the OR were on the recall list. :notsure:

They'll probably re-torque and send you on your way.

its an OR so from what i heard its not on the recall list. I hope they just tighten the bolts and that fixes the problem but I'll just have to see what they say.

I'm sorry I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this question on this thread. So with OR even though the diff is leaking they won't fix it completely? or does all the ORs need are for the bolts to be tightened down?

It seems to depend on the dealer. It seems some will do it, but under the warranty rather than the recall.

It's warranty work for a leaking 3rd they will fix the leak with same parts. If you have the diff howl tell them, the howl is from a bad pinion bearing.
