With any luck you should get it back this week! Sometime between 70 and 80 days seems to be the magic milestone for most of us. Some much, much less, and one pore schmuck had his in for over 100 days. Lets hope you are at least average! Good luck.

Yea, but when they finally got to it there was nothing showing.

It dried up I guess. I have a ton of pictures of a weeping diff. They sent me home with nothing done.

That would make sense, seeing how some owners have gotten their trucks in a matter of a couple weeks while other have been waiting over 2 months.

First I would like to wish everyone a happy communist holiday, took my truck in for my final 25000, mile svs at 22800 was told the diff was seeping and was sent on my way till parts came in it took about 3 weeks I never seen any seeps unless its the axle seal behind the drum and I didn't take off the wheel. They also did the CPS recall at the same time. For the most part I have been very happy with the truck and the dealer I take it too. My biggest question is why would they keep the truck that long, I have never seen that, having worked at a dealership, unless they took it apart and the part was given to another Tec by mistake or it wouldn't run. I would be talking to the regional rep about this issue.

This is pretty widespread and definitely ridiculous.

    Stock for now.
1 month still no truck. Service guy finally called me back Friday. Said parts were rolling in but he has 15-16 trucks in for recall. Sigh.

Yep... my decent dealership was bought out by a huge corporation and their customer service has taken a nose-dive.

Well, here we go again........I took my truck back to Tustin today and requested they look at the differential again after only 529 miles after they did the re-torquing....Before they took truck, I showed my service advisor the picture I took on Sunday so he would have an idea of the problem as I see it....I again requested to see the truck on the lift.....After 45 minutes, they came and got me to go back and have a look see.....you guessed it.....it was baby-ass clean just like new off the showroom floor...no signs of any weeping fluid....I asked them to look at pictures because this is not what I brought in....The shop foreman said he did not know where those pictures came from and that he was not calling me a liar, but he was there and nothing has been done to my truck..

At that point I became a little more than angry and told them that their story was bull shit.....and showed them the pix again.....nothing said....He then asked what it would take to me me happy.....i told him to have my truck repaired per the T-SB with new gasket, bolts and parts including brake flush as prescribed in the repair....he said he would have to call Toyota...I told him I would be calling them also......45 minutes later, they told me that Toyota has approved the repair and that they would order parts because they are on backorder.....

I'll bet they never order the part.....just like they ordered two time the LCA plugs, lost them 2 times and finally got them in on the 15k service....Should I write Jim Lentz and email outlining this service call today? I am so frustrated.....but I am not as bad off as some of you guys...What really pisses me off is that I was lied to and they wiped everything clean and then denied it to m,y face and questioned my integrity about the pictures.....you know, you can yell at me, cuss at me and just be nasty, but we can get around that....but if you lie to me its over......after this is done, I will never go back to Tustin Toyota or Temecula Toyota.....I'll drive down to San Diego, where I bought the truck before I go back there.....here are todays pictures.....Am I wrong?

Your not wrong. Go up to cabe Toyota in long beach. The service manger is a stand up guy owns and wheels his truck. Give them a shot.

My truck weeps/seeps. I have pictures that look worse than yours. The same thing happened to me. It didn't show a drop on the lift. It didn't look "cleaned" either but my pics clearly shows a leak.

I couldn't/didn't argue. I have taken a few more pictures since. It's still leaking. So I have no idea wtf is happening.

I have been avoiding Tustin Toyota for years now. Those clowns wanted to charge me $120 for labor to change out my mass air flow censor. I did it myself in less than two minutes.

These pictures are after the re-torque and only 529 miles.....The first pictures with 15k miles showed very obvious weeping, dirt and mud......And when they called me back to look at it, they had wiped it as clean as a whistle...looked like it just came off the line.....now you see what I have after 529 miles...The shop foreman said Toyota agreed to do the fix to make me happy....but I will wonder how long that will take and if they really do it correctly....How can you tell if it was done right

Reading comprehension bro. Nobody said that. You are reading words not printed. Sure there are some trucks with problems. Worse yet it seems like a bunch of dealers are jerking the chains of several of you. That thread you referenced shows a while bunch of people are happy with their trucks. Nothing more, nothing less.
