Well i just want to lets you guys and gals know, i just got off the phone with a lady from the Toyota executive offices..She told me that they were in receipt of my email from yesterday and wanted to know what happened and asked me some questions. I told her my two stories and she told me that she was going to reach out to the dealer, expedite my parts and to have a conversation with the dealership on the way I was treated by their staff....She also tole me that they would be monitoring the ordering and receipt of my parts and will send me an email to that affect.....all in all it was a very pleasant conversation....

I have now received an email just 5 minutes after the call acknowledging what she said along with her private number to call if I should have any more issues....FWIW...this person was fully aware of the differential issue, High pressure fuel pump issue and other items I brought up.....she did say that the gaskets and other parts are becoming more available and i should be hearing from them very soon....

This is the first time I have ever written or had to write an email or letter to a company CEO regarding problems with a product I have purchased....but i have to admit my surprise when they responded in less than 24 hours.....so lets wait to see what happens with the dealers attitude now........ I believe I am going to try out Cabe Toyota in Long Beach like one of the TW members has suggested for future service needs....

I have been out of my truck for 13 weeks this coming Friday. I just e-mailed Jim Lentz. Looking to have my truck back in my hands by the end of next week.

    That's encouraging to hear.

I have 2 regrets in this whole situation. The first is letting the dealership hold my truck. That will absolutely never happen again. If there's some kind of fatal recall in the future, I'll pay for my own rental before I let the truck out of my sight again. The second regret is not contacting corporate sooner. It seems like it really has gotten the ball rolling for you and some other folks here.

Took my OR in and showed them the photos I took of the weeping, I am going on 8 weeks without my truck. They gave me a Sienna as an "equivalent" rental. Only plus side to the van is now my wife knows how nice a van can be with kids.

had 10,000 mile service done about 6 weeks ago, slight weeping, not on recall list, they ordered parts, got a call today, parts are in, have to make appointment to get it done, will be getting loaner also,,, guess some dealers get parts sooner than others...

Guess I'm going to have to make some phone calls to people more important than the dealer.

I thought we could all use a little laugh about now. I was talking to my neighbor that owns the 83 Toyota 4X4 pickup today. He asked me where my 2016 Tacoma was built, I said Texas, he replied, "well there's your problem, should have bought a Japanese truck."

I'm at 6 weeks with this recall. I brought it in for the 15K service and they just sent me a notice for the 20K. THEY HAVE THE TRUCK. This dealer is in Mesa, AZ.
Has anyone gotten their truck back?

Checked mine and it's not on the recall/tsb list for anything, guess I should physically check anyway just to be sure.

I'm jealous. I'm stuck in a Rav4. Only been 3 weeks I think, but it feels like months.

60+ days in, the 5.7 in this thing is a beast. and I can get 22-24 mpg if I'm driving normally, 18 if I am flooring it

Probably important to note at 22k miles on it the 12v power plugs are already broke or dont work regularly and yesterday i had all the tire pressure lights go crazy on me, not a truck I would buy if I had to choose myself, mpg is a huge upside compared to tundra though and it is comfortable ride / seats

I have it on good authority that certain service distribution centers receive parts sooner/more frequently than others. Folks on the west coast in general will get their truck back much faster than people in other parts of the country. If you're in Toyota's gulf state region, it will take nearly 3 times as long to get your truck back than someone from California.

As was said 194 pages ago. I think that they are not making volumes of these parts. They are making them for the new trucks and leftovers go towards the replacement parts.
I am going to try to go into the dealer with the AZ Lemon law mind set. See if I can get my money back or the truck replaced.
