Lol the dealer tried to tell me that the is "Normal leakage" from the differential!
I showed them Toyota's documentation and photos of what is considered a leak (e.g. "even a small seep is considered a leak") and asked them to reconsider. I told them that if it is not repaired I expect the service record to indicate "Normal leaking observed from the differential, and no action was taken."

I then opened a case with corporate while the truck is still at the dealer explaining the situation. I am told I will hear of their determination in the morning.:annoyed:

I'm curious to know for the folks that have had this differential issue resolved, how have you liked driving your truck since? I feel like my truck has finally settled down since obtaining my truck back in August.

Mine is driving exactly as before, which is fine. My dealer filled me in on the extended warranty that Toyota gave me for all my troubles. It is two years bumper to bumper and I have six more oil changes left. One small catch that doesn't affect me, 2 years or 55,000 miles. Since I only have 12,000 miles since April 2016, and even adding miles for the three months I was out of service, I should be OK.

Are the 2018 trucks having seeping problems too?

Just looked under my truck and have two small leaks (well seepage). Im at 16,000 miles. I had been checking because of this forum looking for the leak, and now I see it. What is the remedy to fix this? Is it just a tightening of the bolts, or is it something major? I'd like to know how long Ill be without my truck.

I have the same issue with two small seepage spots on opposite sides of the bottom of the diff. 2017 sr5 dcsb 2wd. My truck was on the recall and had the bolts tightened by the dealer last May when the truck was new with only 1.5k miles. There were no leaks then, but I just noticed the two spots and I’m now at 15k miles. Dropped the truck off at the dealer today and should be hearing back from them on Monday

Headed back to the dealer. Recall repair was already done last July. Was under the truck a month ago and there was no weeping, seepage...... it was completely dry. I go out today to install some extended rear brake lines and before sticking the jack in, I notice.....

Did they do the "full" recall with gaskets and all or just torque it down?

Full recall. They didn't just torque and run.

Try changing out the breather to a two way valve like the ARB and relocate it higher in the bed or behind brake light.

    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/arb-170112/overview

The stock diff breathers stop working and cause high diff pressure and will push out gear oil and in some cases blown axle seals. JMHO

I will get under there again and look at the breather. Maybe a dumb question, but can you just poke it with say a oring pick to see if it is working or not?
