File a complaint with the NHTSA the more complaints the more they will make Toyota repair it, or claim it under the state lemon law.

I'm waiting on a reply from my toyota case manager as well as will be attaching this image to send in along with a copy of the printout. If it is not resolved then I will pursue further to NHTSA, the lemon law I believe has to be an attempted fix 3 times. Honestly I wouldn't push for that I would just chew into them file a complaint with the NHTSA and just fix it myself. Only problem is if i fix it myself and down the line i have an incident or toyota presses the dealers to address the issue, i may be left out to fend on my own because I changed the vehicle and it was not done by an authorized person

So I had mine done last July (gaskets and new studs). I checked it last fall and it was dry. Decided to check it this week and I see its weeping again.

Service already scheduled for them to look at it. The funny thing is that the weeps all appear to be in the same area for the larger rear ends (from other's pics). Common weeps are near the sensor area and at the lower rib.

Hopefully this isn't a repeating yearly fix.

3 Times on my 17 off road. Toyota bought it back. Got a 18, same thing. Replaced gasket twice. 3rd time they replaced the whole rear axle housing. X-ing my fingers.
Side note, found small area of rust on roof. About size of small pencil eraser. Cleaned area and used rust reformer, than touch up paint.

Don’t know about Toyota quality anymore.

Got it on my 18 pro with 4800 miles. Calling the dealer today to see what they say. Hopefully they take care of it.

I beg to differ. The search function on TW sucks balls. I can’t even find threads I know exist let alone those that I don’t know about. I think everyone knows you have to go to Google or your search site of choice and pare through the results there.

After seeing this thread get brought back to life, I'd better go check mine today. When the dealer did the recall, mine was out of commission for 6 weeks, so I hope mine is still holding.

I bought my Tacoma in Nov. 2016 ('17 model). The VIN wasn't included in the the recall, but it was weeping. The dealer replaced the gasket in October 2017. I crawled under today to check it and noticed it is weeping again and quite a bit worse than the first time I saw it before it was repaired. Calling the dealer tomorrow. I am at 33k, so still within the warranty period and hope they will repair. Although, I am beginning to be concerned about this being an ongoing issue that isn't actually being repaired for good.

Forgot to update: This time around, dealer said that Toyota wouldn't consider mine a leak. They said it would be covered under the powertrain warranty so don't worry. They just cleaned it up and inspect it at the next service. If the marks show back up they'll replace the gasket and add some sealant to the paper gasket.
