It's going in first thing in the morning, but they won't give me a loaner until they look at it and confirm it's leaking...................

I would hope that the dealer can quickly reach the conclusion that yours is indeed leaking :D

I also think yours is the worst I've seen posted.

    Just Wow.

It won't take long to confirm that leak, only took about 15mins for my dealer to confirm mine was leaking, they also took photos of it to show me. Yours is much worse than mine was, definitely get a loaner until they can fix it.

So good to be back in my truck, gonna keep a close eye on the diff till June and have the bolts torqued to spec in the next day or so by a tech. I compared the photos of the leak when it was first noticed to how it looks now and its basically the same size spots so should be fine.

I'm pretty pissed as my truck only has 5k miles on it, and I've done nothing short of babying it. I guess a recall is a recall, and I just got the short end of the stick. We'll see how this plays out as I'm about to drive the truck to the dealer in TRAFFIC...I'll keep you guys updated, but I've already been told on the phone that there are no parts in stock and no word of when parts will be coming to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Yes the only thing that could go wrong is if there is damage to the internal of the diff that they find was caused by my taking the truck and driving it. But my SA assured me there would not be an issue unless the whole damn thing grenades on me. But given the fact its barely leaking and Im going to be under there checking it constantly I think I'm good. I am also going to have it torqued to spec and am considering having the fliud checked and filled if needed, worth it to ensure no issues down the road.

seems a lot broader of a wetness than most of the ones that are smaller and localized. I rubbed dirt/dust into the whole gasket area to see clearly where fluid is coming from, you might want to so you can see exactly what is going on

[IMG]lot of them look like this (its my truck)

Be prepared as you will likely be driving out with a loaner.
