Look at the bright side! It's a fkn Toyota!
Sure the new 3rd gen that's redesigned bumper to bumper in and out has it's issues the new gens always do but this gen may have more than previous gens for whatever reason.
That's why we have a warranty! And am happy that Toyota has recalled what so many have had problems with in the early stages.
And more may come in the near future. The 16 is only half way through it's standard warranty and this recall is good news as we 16 owners have a way to go on the standard. And the 17 owners have an extra year . So Don't worry be Happy!!!
Nissan and the others can kiss my arse!
There is no other midsize pickup that will hold the value, reliability etc as our fkn Yotas period!

    None as of yet
Still would recommend you crawl under and check, lots of off roads are sweating fluid, including my own, and get the dealer to correct it under warranty.

Just saw a recall commercial on NBC this morning. They said the Tacoma is being recalled for" rear ends locking up", not an oil leak. Apparently the NHTSC doesn't want Toyota trying to minimize the severity of the problem. This won't be good for resale for people trying to unload their 3 Gen!

At this point if someone offered me a 3rd Gen or a 2001 Camry with the clear coat peeling all over the roof and hood I'd take the Camry

Yeah, I'm taking it into the dealer once I'm out from work (Night shift) in about an hour. Luckily its only about 4 miles away.
